The shiteous state of the American economy is likely to be the most important issue in the upcoming presidential election.

And both candidates have very strong opinions on the subject!

What's the latest???

And Click here to read Barack's thoughts. Obama says that McCain's deregulation too risky for economy.

      fuck politics.

    4. 4

McCain has some damn nerves! It is the republican deregulation and trickle down effect policies that got us here in the first place! This man is truly the biggest liar and self absorbed person we have had in politics! He is even worst than George W Bush!!!!!

Re: mandzie f baby – Yeah, fuck that shit.

    6. 6

Hell fucking yes DEREGULATION is the problem, lack of oversight for banks and the mortgaging and credit system under the damned STEIGER bill is the problem (clinton's fault for approving it, Bush's fault for allowing it to be exploited and allowing the economy to collapse). When poor people and middle class don't have money because they're spending it on bills and not in stores , jobs are lost and the economy is fucked.

Anybody who votes for mccain DESERVES what they get.

This is a fucking class war and nobody is seeing that yet.

    7. 7

McCain is so desperate and dillusional. Who cares what the crusty old one has to say? Obama may have less "experience" than McOldy, but he has plenty of potential to be our next president. I think that McOldy will say just about anything now because he knows that the American public is hip to his "gimmicks", and his likelihood of winning Nov 4th, is shrinking with each Palin interview!

Oh, and in case you missed it. Republican VP Choice Sarah Palin says:

Katie Couric: Why isn't it better, Gov. Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries; allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

Gov. Sarah Palin: That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, we're ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health-care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping the — it's got to be all about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health-care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, scary thing. But one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we've got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.

Someone from the McCain camp better make sure there's plenty of meds for this guy. I think he's going to blow and end up in a padded room really soon. Not every 72 year old is to old but this one is. He is mentally older than his years and there is no way I want him anywhere near the oval office.

    13. 13

Oh Gosh! You idiots! You would never have been in this mess if you didn't go to war! WAR TAKES BILLIONS OUT OF THE ECONOMY THAT YOU WILL NEVER EVER EVER GET BACK! BILLIONS! FOR WHAT? TO LOSE? cuz you guys a losing this war… whoever voted for bush TWICE is responsible for this. everyone who was pro war was responsible for this. but at least you know one day this will all be fixed so i guess you can look forward to that. But learn your damn lesson!

    14. 14

Making bad loans is not good business. Forcing banks to make bad loans is a recipe for disaster. The government should stay out of the mortgage business. Banks were doing just fine before the government got involved. If people can't afford a house, the government shouldn't tell the bank to make the loan anyway. That's ridiculous.

    15. 15

      I REALLY CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE

EVERY SINGLE LEADER IN THE WORLD SUCKS….WE DON'T NEED THEM AT ALL….WE NEED TO CHOP ALL THEIR DICKS OFF ….I KNOW THE WAR WILL STOP THEN…THE WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE…..I KNOW I'M RIGHT -LETS START THE CASTRATIONS

      RICKY MARTIN FOR PRESIDENT

    16. 16

2,4,6,7- you all have it right!
The worst thing is McPalin will do anything (including sealing his soul to the devil, check!) to be able to say he's prez. Meanwhile we still don't know what's going on with his health. Stage 3 melanoma?! Eight years ago at that!!! Oh wait, we don't have to worry Pallin can see Russia from her house. I feel soooo much better.
      God save us!!!!

    17. 17

Ehm, McCain needs to be quiet, his part is the main reason this situation happened in the first place. Deregulation is what led to this hot mess in the first class, and who is going to suffer most? Middle-class Americans, not the rich who created the mess. Maybe if the Republican party had not spent trillions on the way, they'd now have the money to bail out middle-class Americans, instead of the House blocking the bill, because they're afraid of overspending - and some Representatives, mainly Republicans refused to let the bill pass, because why should their state help bail out Wall Street? But it's not just bailing out Wall Street, it's saving the financial market. However, they have to re-think who they are giving the money to, you don't give them to the banks to bail them out of the crisis YOU GIVE THEM TO THE PEOPLE, to help them pay off their debt to the bank.
And Sarah Palin should never have been made VP, she knows nothing about the Economy or Foreign Policy and with such an economic crisis in the States, do you really want her to help screw up the economy further???
Hello Republicans and Democrats, are you listening, pass the bill and give the money to the people!

right! Republican deregulation and excessively GREEDY and wreckless U.S. corporate and banking managers!

    26. 26

why is that the asswipes on this board change history. It was the DEMOCRATS….BARNEY FRANK, CHARLES SCHUMER, etc. that DIDN'T want regulation. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!!!!

      Re: HumanRight4All

We really almost coundn t BELIEVE it that you voted for Bush a 2nd time! And it will leave the world SPEECHLESS if a 3rd Republican idiot term would be voted for!
Just heard on German TV: Yesterday 3 billion(!) USD "burnt" and evaporated yesterday at the US Stock Exchange - per minute!!!!

    28. 28

Just give us back Hilary, the Democ-ratz are doing the exact same thing that Bush did to Gore. Stole her glory and popular vote, and
now we are stuck with three dicks and one woman. I guess I'll take the one with the woman.

    29. 29

I wouldn't count on nObama to dig us out of recession. Or to protect my personal money. And you shouldn't, either….

    30. 30

      Re: JembaBemba
Republican Neoliberals and Radical Liberals are for "non-regulation" of ANY economic and money aspect!
And WHY should the taxpayer now compensate for the money that excessively salaried and paid bankers, managers and politicians BURNT and "save" companies/banks? Why don t their highly paid MANAGERS give THEIR MONEY to save the banks they themselves ruined?! No, quite to the contrary, 8 years of Republican Administration created allt he LAWS that made them exempt from paying ANY TAXES at all and letting them do their money businesses on the stock exchange without ANY monitoring/regulation!

    31. 31

      Re: jeanmarie
Right, NO Politician can get you/the U.S. out of that political (Iraq a.s.o.) and corruptive MESS (banks, oil, military) that 8 years of Republican power have put you in!

    32. 32

gov't wants to put it's greedy hands all over this bailout. The dollar will have no value and the more they get involved the more they screw this economy up. People need to make better decisions for themselves and stop looking to the gov't to fix their probs. More regulation is not always a good thing especially with a gov't that rapes the american people…and it has for a long time. Dem Rep doesn't matter….THEY ALL DO IT

    33. 33

Why can't we "bail out" all the homeless families and homeless men and women? Why can't we bail me out? I'm a little low on cash and my car payment is due!

The hypocrisy of this CORPORATE WELFARE is astounding. All the corporations need to do is cry broke and get free money.

Bush INHERITED a projected 6 trillion dollar surplus from Clinton and in two years turned it into a 400 billion dollar DEFICIT. SO where did the 6 trillion go?

To their WAR MONGERING MERCENARY FRIENDS and "CRONIES" who own the companies in Iraq.

Titan, Cico, Haliburton/KBR and Black Water. So all of our tax dollars are making those companies rich. That ten billion a month is not being spent on our SOLDIERS but on mercenaries who are paid thousands a day to do the same exact job our soldiers do for less. That's where our money has gone.

THe bank crisis happened because the DEREGULATED/unregulated capitalism our country has devolved into got greedy and abused its loans/crediting systems to take advantage of people who couldn't pay. They are getting what they deserve.

    34. 34

Well at least you posted comments from both sides.

    35. 35

But wait, didn't McCain ride in on his white horse and fix everything? Wow, I really thought that would happen *insert sarcasm here*

    36. 36

      Re: kitten poo
      Kitten Poo,
very good to remind some Republican supporters here of this! :-)

QUOTE: "…Bush INHERITED a projected 6 trillion dollar surplus from Clinton and in two years turned it into a 400 billion dollar DEFICIT. SO where did the 6 trillion go? …"

    37. 37

Now don't forget that in '04 Reps wanted regulations for the Freddie/Fannie Mac fat cats so we wouldn't get into the mess we are in now….guess who blocked that? You guessed it, the good ol' Dems. Oh & how is it that Nancy Pelosi can't even get her own party to vote on this bailout plan? Hmm I mean really, think about it! Dems have the majority and don't even need the Republicans vote on this.

    38. 38

Right!! And, please, everyone tending to vote Republicans, read the above AGAIN AND AGAIN - until you UNDERSTAND IT! You will almost never read it in your Bush press papers! :-)

    39. 39

Re: kitten poo – As far I understand democrats request to include in the bailout plan a clause that could be used to help people facing foreclosure. This clause was going to let people in court to get better terms for their loan and be able to pay. Republicans in the “negotiations” asked for this to be removed to continue. So I don’t get why the taxpayers need to bail out if they are not going to get any direct benefit for it, instead making reach and stable people who is asking to pay properties that were financed on unreal values by the same bank who are now in trouble.

    40. 40

      Re: PerezNena

WHY in hell should the American TAXPAYER bail ANYONE of these CORRUPTED bussinesses and managers out of that mess?!

    41. 41

Oh, don't forget that OPEC hasn't "regulated" oil prices either, which is why we have been paying so much. Oh yes! Oil prices were DEREGULATED by Bush and CO. Notice something weird? The gas prices haven't gone up since Fannie Mae was bailed out. In fact, it has been the same exact price sense. WHy? BEcause Bush and CO had the power to stop the surging gas prices a long time ago. Now that the economy is shite, they've "frozen" gas prices to keep from adding insult to injury.

The government is getting nothing out of paying 700 billion dollars. Trust me. WE, the american people are getting nothing out of it. This is WELFARE. CORPORATE welfare not a business loan.

The only people or shall I say… entities getting something out of it are the banks and companies being bailed out.

    42. 42

      Re: kitten poo – dumb ass..its was not a "projcected" 6 trillion.hahaha

Do you remember how much 911 cost us ? 911 cost us almost 4 trillion all together……please do some reading and not just listening to everything you see on MTV reality shows.

    43. 43

      Re: erhg74

They also wanted to give the treasury department unlimited POWER over our economy and without supervision or oversight from congress or the government. Imagine what that would be like, the "favors" the republicans would give their friends if elected.

The republicans are out to FLEECE the American government and the American people of every dime- they are traitors. I love capitalism but it needs regulation and oversight and when you don't have it you get the mess we're in now.

The republicans are always trying to avoid OVERSIGHT because they're corrupt elitest blue bloods trying to carve out future wealth on our backs and dollars.

    44. 44

You know, Perez, I am SO tired of this bullshit. I knew six months ago who I wanted to vote for. Nothing that has happened has changed my mind. Nothing. I just feel better then ever about my choice. It comforts me. All John McCain does is attack. He is so negative and he is so scared of everything he makes me sick. He offers no realistic solution, just a lot of slogans and sound bites. His "formula" is cut spending deregulate everything, and hope for the best. When he says cut spending, he means get rid of Medicare and privatize Social Security. He wants to eliminate most of the federal government except for the Defense Department. He is the scariest, worst person to ever run for president, and I thought Bush was, but he makes Bush a walk in the park. And he would really screw us up arounf the world, because his attitude is to fight with every body. He is a total, crazy, irresponsible asshole. And he is delusional. Either that or he is a pathological liar. You know he is lying because his lips are moving.

    45. 45

      Re: Dijhili

Did you read the fucking federal budget idiot? Guess what? I read Clinton's budget in 2000 and I read Bush's. And yes, there was a 6 trillion dollar surplus. I suggest you do some research you goddam fool. The World Trade Center had nothing to do with the deficit fuck head, but the Budget Bush balanced like a crackhead with a check book.

He seemd to think he had a blank check for his military expenditures.

    46. 46

      Re: Dijhili

And WHO do you think brought you 9/11??? Bushs and Cheney 's CLOSE business ally Osama Bin Laden!

    47. 47

      Re: moonbeams

Why do they want to PRIVATIZE social security? To make more money for their corporations and corporate friends! *gasp*, has nothing to do with making it better.

If the Republicans have their way they will try to privatize everything and soon WE WON'T need or have a government, WE'LL HAVE CORPORATIONS running the country and the white house will be their corporate headquarters.

Do you all realize that for the past 8 years, PRIVATE companies have been taking over federal jobs under Bush? For example, if you have a government job, a private corporation can come in and make a BID for your job and if they can prove they can do your government job for less, the government employee is fired and the corporation can take over the position? So then any government records you have with that particular government agency is now in the hands of the private sector?

The shit has been going on for a while. How do you think I got my job?

    48. 48

obama Is for WAR just not with iraq. In his debate he said is wanted to put troops in afganistan and in pakistan. The bailout was agreed by both parties last week. Now they dropped it like a hot potato. Demacrats want the credit for that. We will see if that was the best thing to do. Meantime the republicans will get the votes from those who are pissed from not bailing them out. This is how the game of politcis are played.

    49. 49

this is what happens when the government starts strongarming private companies into making bad loans.

    50. 50

Perez I think you need to take your silly writing off the picture because I think Barack made if clear he wants war to go over to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

    52. 52

Re: Bavaria – Bush had only been in office a few months when 9/11 happened. Binladen had all the years of Clinton administration to plan 9/11. Clinton knew for years about Bin ladens. remember the bombing of the financial district in New York?

    53. 53

Re: just sayin – "Obama is for War" oh please lunatic freak. Obama voted against Iraq invasion. You know that one Republican President Bush manufacture evidence of mass destruction weapons to justify it. And he is the only candidate who is about "end this war responsible" while McCain said that "Americans don't car how long the war would last, it can last 100 years and they won't care", time to care about it because it's a waste of money with no benefit in all these years of war. So you might be getting your facts from Church, I would advise you to start reading the news.

    54. 54

Re: lauren3225 – Are we winning…..really? Where's Osama? Why haven't we captured him yet? Why are more and more of our men & women dying everyday?

      Winning…..right.

    55. 55

      Re: lauren3225
the surge took over six years…you're an ass. oh, we're still at war. this war is lasting longer than war worl II. McCain said our economy was "FLOURISHING" the day the stock market fell. you want this man to run our country. he know nothing about economy??? you need to watch some c-span and get off perez cause' it's obvious you have NO CLUE what's going on.

    56. 56

Re: just sayin – Question, where do you live? You people tickle me. 2 cities were affected by 9/11 New York City and Washington DC. Last time I checked these two cities were voting democrat. So what are u doing in the middle of nowhere vouching the silly fear vote? That's how Bush won second term and look at the disaster that he has brought to all of our lives. And you people still want to some more? Incredible!!

    57. 57

Re: just sayin – And the funniest is that you people now are using WAR as an argument to get sympathy when you know Republicans are all about WAR and HATE and that's your trademark. Because it profits some sectors and because you love all expressions of destruction. I don't get why you hate America so much.

    58. 58

      Re: just sayin

The Bush Administration ignored 52 warnings from the FAA leading up to 9/11. He also ignored the August 6th Presidential Briefing stating the U.S. was going to get hit using planes going into buildings. This is George Bush's fault and if you continue to defend him you need your head examined.

    65. 65

The Republican party is in a "Civil War" with in itself. Sen. McCain wants to remain ignorant to the "crisis" that we are facing, and he is beginning to crack. He nor Pres. Bush have zero influence with-in their own party. Sen. McCain has resorted to pointing fingers fat Sen. Obama because he knows he really should be pointing his old ass finger at himself. He's been riding George W. Bush's dickk for the past 8 years.. Now he wants to hope off and claim he is his own man.. John we are not stupid! Republicans are falling and falling fast. They don't even want to call themselves republicans anymore.lol.. They wanna call themselves "conservatives" completely now.

      OBAMA 08'….

NOVEMBER.. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL RECLAIM THE WHITE HOUSE!

    66. 66

The candidate of change, the shining proponent of a "new way" in national politics, says that you aren't allowed to bring a sign to his rally. So much for the right of free political speech. To add insult to injury, this rally was held at the publicly funded University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. So, now the government is lending the weight of its authority to squelch free speech. So, where is the hew and cry about this unAmerican activity? Did the media even note this heavy-handed policy?
But, it is all true nonetheless. The rally was held and weak-spined school officials bent over and meekly accepted the rules derived from the fascistic penchant of the Obama campaign with its anti-first amendment proclivities. Some few small voices questioned this oppression of American rights, but for the most part no one seems to have noticed that Virginians had their Constitutional rights quashed that day. Shockingly, some even thought it was a good idea.
If this dangerous man violates our first amendment…what else will he f*ck up?
Will post an article on this Mr. PerezHilton?????

Not like anyone can't guess what I'm already going to say, but Frankly Mccain is Right…and I think it's complete Bullshit that Nacy Shitloski thinks it's necesary to take a 2 day Jewish Holiday at the Peak of this economic crisis…she's not even Jewish..she's playing Politics and she could care less about the American People, Her Speech and Her Jewish Holiday just shows her character and her selfishness towards every day American Citizens who are suffering in this Economic Crisis right now. Just another reason why it's so important to Vote for McCain!

anybody who has ANY common sense should know that mccain will NOT lead us out of this recession. he's bush number two and you all know it. the only way we will ever have any hope for change for this country is barack obama. mccain is stupid "we are winning the war" oh really john? what are we winning in it? we're gonna go into a depression if we fight this war any longer. we NEED obama. OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!

Re: just sayin – umm actually he was elected in 2000 he was about 10 months into his first term when the towers went down he was then re-relect by dumbasses again in 2004! I know this because I had a " bush out the door 2004" bumper sticker on my car! hahaha 10 months was enough time to plan a half ass plot against the twin towers, etc!

"The shiteous state of the American economy"

It is for *ME*!!!! You shouldn't require *TWO* incomes to afford the lower-class-level lifestyle of *ONE*!! No one shoud have to work more than forty hours per wek at ominmum wage just to afford the very basics in life. And that not even counting the health/dental care that *MOST* Americans don't have! The poorest people here are generating all this income just so that the minority of rich folk can live dozens of times better than us. Do your fucking jobs are start spreading the wealth around and lowering the taxes for us poor folks. I think it's absurd to be charged income tax *and* "propery" tax. Pick one or the other. We can't afford both!!

    82. 82

Besides, I think our country has one hell of a lot of nerve charging property taxes anyway. They charge people to live on land that isn't even theirs to begin with! Their ancestors stole it from the Native Americans!

Re: Abbyguy – Bullshit Innaguration in January 2001. That would mean eight months if the demacraps would made the transition easier. Clinton had 8 years leading up to 9/11 and those warings came into demacrap hands first.
