Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is set to begin an all-out media assault!

The Alaska governor will take a more "forward-leaning approach" and do additional interviews in the weeks ahead, a top aide said Monday.

"She's seen the reviews and heard the criticism, but she's a fighter," said this aide. "And now she's in a fighting mood."

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) was created to help education for all students. However, it has backfired. On paper it was ok. In reality, it's been an anchor for education and has prevented students from truly achieving. See, Bush believes that all students (ALL students, including special needs and non-English speakers) should take a standardized test every year to measure how much they're learning. The problem is, when a school's test scores don't "measure up" to NCLB's standards, the govt won't give them as much money or freedom to teach the students properly. Well, special needs kids are supposed to take the tests as well, even if they're assisted by an aid. However, as we all know, kids who are special needs aren't performing at the same level as the rest of their peers, hence "special education". However, their scores are averaged in with the rest of the school's. The Democrats recognize this error and want to modify NCLB to exempt Special Needs students from the test so the school's end result will be higher, thus increasing money for the school, and therefore enhancing the education for all students (with extra programs, etc.). Talk to a special educator and they'll explain it even better. Nice to hear you're pro-active in your child's education! Thanks! :)

      Re: wetdog – I already know all about this as my child is in the 4th grade. I also believe our States tests are too hard. (BTW my child passed with flying colors which I am SOOOOO proud of)The schools who lie and cheat get money for doing good on the tests and schools like my daughters who have alot of special needs children fall behind.They get less than passing scores and instead of getting the extra help they need to help these children pass in the future they get nothing.In fact the State of Ohio offered to send any child from our district to a private funded school, free of charge until they graduate because we were in academic distress!!! So instead of paying for more help in our system…..they will pay for us to go somewhere else where my child wont have to take their stupid test.Is this Bush fault? Maybe…. State of Ohio? IDK I need to know what McCain and Palin think about this. Then I will make my decision. Obama/Biden too. Im open to hear what they have to say. But I need to hear it from them. It is nice for others to have this explained in the way we did. This is a major thing people. Our economy will never get better if our kids are uneducated.
