      While I don't agree with much of what Palin says, I have to give credit where credit is due. She did much better in this interview than her previous interviews and I think it is because of the questions that were asked. When she asked about things that she has dealt with (energy, global warming) or issues that she truly believes in (abortion rights, etc), she seems much more competent. However, her major problem is that when she gets stuck, she gets REALLY stuck and usually makes a fool of herself (hence the newspaper debacle). Her biggest problem is that there are a LOT of issues she is unfamiliar with, which is exploited by the fact that she does not think well off of the top of her head.

      Well, I'm not the biggest fan of Sarah Palin or John McCain, but I thought Sarah did a lot better in this interview. Regarding the question of what newspapers she reads…she may be a lot more savvy than you'd think…committing to a certain newspaper can mean an endorsement in a lot of quarters….and she may not want that kind of identification. So kudos to her for thinking about her answers before giving them…even if they seem a little uncomfortable.

Like that makes me believe that because she's met a gay person in her life all of a sudden she is an authority! It is so cliche, how many times have we heard people say that in life? If that's all she's done for gays in her life, then there's a serious problem!       I don't think this was her best interview however, I do believe she and McCain are people who get things done. (We need Mavericks) I think a lot of presidents have talked a lot about what they will do yet, have never really done anything. Even if people think McCain and Bush are completely alike because they are republicans, there are definite differences. People just want change and if Obama is saying he is the man with change, well Bravo….but is he really going to do everything he says? Doubt it. How could he do all the things he says without raising massive taxes. Also, who the hell wants national healthcare? I mean I think we have that now. Another newsflash: Gays earn salaries that are on average 60% above the median, and they are also disproportionately victims of crime… it makes total sense for gays to be conservatives since Republicans are tougher on crime and less likely to tax the shit out of you and give your money to losers.
