Doing It For The Kiddies

The Beckhams just seem to be everywhere these days and promoting just about anything that will bring them in extra money.
So jealous!!!!
What's left for Becks and wifey to do?
Write books for kids, of course!
Aspiring writer David Beckham is selling stories aimed for seven year olds.
The books will be about a young group of footballers, those are soccer players to us in America.
It'll feature "tips, a pull-out tactics board and statistics on the game."
The first book in the series is set to be released in June 2009.
However, the publishers are already admitting that the books will NOT be written by Beckham.
A rep for Beckham says, “The David Beckham Academy is more than just David’s dream of giving children the chance to experience great football coaching, it exists to encourage all aspects of their learning and development. David is particularly pleased that The Academy has inspired a series of books that will bring children to reading through football.”
So, what's next for the Beckhams?
Maybe some orange, sunless tanning cream for that nice orange-tan look????

why does ever celebrity feel they need to put out books, clothing lines, perfume, etc cant they just stick to what there good at, entertaining, the worlds gonna be over run bu shitty name brand perfumes and ugly overpriced clothes

As as person, David Beckham seems very nice. He has a small problem though, he left school at 16 and can hardly string a sentence together. He is in fact, embarassingly inarticulate. The fame game is so disgusting. Fact is, someone will throw together a kiddies book, put his name on it and it will sell. Us mugs will be bombarded with advertising and fall into the 'must have' trap. That's how they all get richer. Enough is enough. Yes, he deserves his money for the genuine soccer talent but this new stretch is riduculous. How he can hold his head up to this nonsense is beyond even sceptical old me!

Re: LettyB – Go onto YouTube and pick an interview. Jay Leno quite recently maybe. Beckham smiles a lot and is very charming but he has nothing to say, it's just not there. His high pitched girly voice and bad accent can be offputing but go beyond that and listen to his short sentence structures. I applaud where talent and great management has got him, no doubt about it, can't be faulted. I'm just peeved at this writing nonsence, it really is taking the piss to another level!
