Is it just us or does it smell like fish around here????
After selling 2.9 million copies of their debut album, PCD, the Pussy Cat Dolls' sophomore release, Doll Domination, has debuted on the U.S. album charts at a dismal #5 for its first week of sales, moving just 74,000 units.
New Disney princess Demi Lovato, however, easily outsold the Dolls with 89,000 copies of her first album, Don't Forget, scoring her a #2 place on the charts.
The Kings of Leon also beat the Pussycat Dolls, selling 74,353 records of their new album, Only By The Night.
Doesn't look good for the Dolls.
Their second week sales should be even worse!

PCD new album is quiet awful..sounds only two or three goods songs…i'm surprised by the amount they selled…"when i grown up" has been ever where this past summer..and i'm not a huge fan…looks like danity kane got them beat in terms of sales and better music…
Maybe their vocal cords need to be sprayed with some of my home made elixir.

Even though I like Demi *way* better than Miley, I have to admit that Demi will never be the "next Miley Cyrus." Miley sold about 400,000 copies in the first week, and Demi sold about 90,000 copies.
Demi's Album is really great.
As for the comment that compared Demi's to Jonas Brothers. Seriously Demi hasn't had that much time out, but she is doing well for someone just coming onto the scene.

I personally think the economy is the reason why cd sales are down. People are becoming more picky about what they spend money on. For me, recently I have not found anyone's cd to be worth my hard earned money. I have been downloading only the songs I like. Its hard to find extra money to spend on cds, and I won't spend money on a cd where I only like 2 or 3 songs on it.
