Oh my gosh, this movie is so AMAZING!! Paris does a WONDERFUL job as Amber Sweet. There couldn't be another actress to better portray Amber Sweet. I used to be a Paris hater, but this movie made me respect her alot more, she certainly has a unique brand of talent.

I'm super super excited to see this film. Checking her out from the interviews and stuff, she actually seems really interesting to me now. It's kinda funny because I saw in one interview that people were very straight-faced and "no way" about her auditioning, but she played the part so well that everyone was convinced.
The full soundtrack is definitely worth purchasing. I mean, she's also starring with such people as Anthony Stewart Head aka Giles from Buffy, Skinny Puppy's Ogre, Sarah Brightman, Paul Sorvino from Goodfellas-
With musicians like Poe, David J and Daniel Ash of Bauhaus, and Yoshiki of X Japan having worked on the soundtrack . . .
The list just goes on. I'm finding it all very artistically inspiring.

This movie looks amazing, it's something original for once. We all know you're hating on Paris because it's just what you do. That's like hating on Bush, it's just what you do. This movie really is fantastic, the music is wonderful, the cast is talented and diverse, and the visuals are breathtaking. Paris is not a bad singer.

This movie is going to be soooo awesome! and the soundtrack is sublime! This definitely isn't the only song in it or on the soundtrack, so don't be put off by Paris! I really was put off by her being in it too, but her singing isn't half bad; I've heard much much worse. Nothing is going to stop me from seeing this movie, it looks so good and I've fallen in love with it already. In case anyone's wondering why there's a sudden influx of positive comments towards the end here, it's because the film's producer just found out that LionsGate staff have been told to look at the comments here to gauge reactions to Paris' role and he's told the official Repo! form to swamp this place with positive comments in an attempt to manipulate the reactions of the LGF staff.
To those LGF staff: Ignore every comment on this site, it's not a representative sample of reaction to Repo! - the reaction has largely been positive, although the main problem is that, although the majority of people who know about Repo! are excited about it, not many people know about it…
By that I mean ignore the positive AND negative reactions - this is a compromised sample group that should not have been chosen for analysis in the first place, and outside intervention has only tainted the sample group further - you can't add some 100% positive comments into a generally 100% negative environment and expect it to provide realistic reactions, just as you can't take results from separate biased groups and expect realistic feedback.
i cant wait when this comes out, im curious to see what its all about

Repo! The Genetic Opera is, in all truth, one of the most unique and original movies that have been released in years. Every actor does a fantastic job, and the film is well produced. Unfortunately, the marketing team is comprised of the fanbase itself. Repo is receiving no help from the production company whatsoever. So Perez, thanks for allowing us to get the word out. Hopefully most people here are all talk, no walk, and budge to our requests to reseach the movie. Once someone walks into the Repo universe, it's extremely hard to get rid of it

Zydrate Anatomy would have been a better choice to sample really. But I'm not a huge Paris fan. Never have been and probably never will be. This film is much more than just Paris. Anyone who has ever taken the time to go and check the movie out rather than jump to decisions based on samples would know that. It's like trying to pick a president by throwing darts a wall with pictures. Give it a freakin chance. It's better than some of the stupid remakes and sequels we've been getting from Hollywood as of late.

Well, we're currently not getting paid the single and very basic thing we want- Which is a wider screening of the film when it comes out.
Also, I don't know what you mean by stating that the Repo fans have been exposed . . . Because its pretty self-evident in our comments that we are big fans. Well, it should be anyway, to any human adult in possession of an at least average thinking capacity.
Re: Charax – Unless you're psychic, you can't know the exact reason that was deleted. I also don't think "manipulation" is the right term if people are starting off with a biased representation. "Manipulation" vs "standing up for yourself/your project."

This movie is great… Paris is barely in it so if you havent seen it/want to see it, you should give it a chance there are a bunch of talented musicians in this rock-opera/horror movie… Sarah Brightman, for one, is amazing. Its truly a unique film, and musicals/operas will NEVER go out of style.
First of all, they most likely digitally enhanced her voice. Secondly, her singing still sucks majorly - she is really talking throughout the song.
Why when her so-called album came out, did she refuse to sing live? Because she really has no voice, it is easy to record something in the studio, have it digitally enhanced, and then claim you can sing.
The producers for Repo only hired her to give this musical publicity and that is truly sad, because they could have given a talented actress and singer the part instead of a waste of space like Paris Hilton.
The first reviews have already come in and are bad, and reviewers are also saying they can't believe that with such a talented cast, they included someone like Paris Hilton in the cast. Baaaaad move!

I just wanted to add, that I am not against the movie itself, I think it's a good project, I just am incredulous that with all the amazing talent you have in this film (Paul Sorvino, Sarah Brightman), you add a no-talent like Hilton. Unfortunately, most of the attention is going to be focused on her and not on Brightman or Sorvino and undeservedly so.

. . . Which reviews are that? When I do a search for the title plus "reviews," the first hits are pretty good. It seems at worst people have been saying that it's not for them. I've been trying to keep up with the response . . . There was one or two harsh reviews on aintitcoolnews, but there were positive reviews on that site as well. Regardless, I'd just like the opportunity to see it and actually form my own opinion.
All you people leaving negative comments probably havent even given this film a slight peek. Its not just Paris theres some other amazing people in it too and its really REALLY nothing like anything thats ever been done before. Its soundtrack sold more than mammamia in its first 3 days of being released!! The fans for this movie are really incredible and never in my life have i seen more dedicated movie makers than terrance z or darren l bousman!! The director and the writer. They are travelling all over America to promote thier movie face to face with thier fans! This film is REALLY one of the best i've seen in a long long long time…you should all give it a chance and stop blasting Paris just because you dont like any of the stuff shes done in the past. Or better yet, go take a listen to some of the other music on the soundtrack before forming an opinion about something you haven't seen.
