She's definitely hard working - you gotta give her that!

Judging the entire movie off an opinion of Paris Hilton is like saying all of Perez's readers suck just because of a few of the asses in here.

Like others have said - WE, the fans, are the promoters for this. Unpaid and not caring about it because were so passionate about getting this baby out there!!!!!

You know, I'm starting to realize that this movie isn't so much a movie as it is an art piece, and as such, a great number of people will not comprehend it.

Unfortunately, a lot of people, being scared of feeling ignorant if they don't understand it, decide to diss and talk horribly about something they have not given themselves the opportunity to try it.

Repo! The Genetic Opera is such an amazing piece of work, and is backed up by the most loyal, most energetic fanbase I've ever seen. The creators work their butts off so closely with all of us fans to get the movie to as many viewers as possible.

The only thing I can say is go to www.repo-opera.com to check out the trailers so you yourself can see what we're talking about, and hopefully see beyond the gossip of who you think Paris Hilton is to see how hard every single actor worked in this movie.

Doesn't anyone else think it's rather hypocritical to tell people not to judge a film based on a small sample when all ANYONE outside a very small group of people has had is a small sample? The soundtrack only has roughly half the songs in the finished film and the released video clips - while impressive - are minimal, so while your small sample may be large compared to someone else's small sample, it's still small compared to the overall film.

In all honesty, this is a film that's either going to capture your attention and love from the get go or it won't. But giving the poorest examples possible isn't the way to base an opinion. One should weigh all sides before coming to a conclusion and the only way to do that is to do some research, seek out the sites that gives information and weigh it all for yourself. Not all reviews of the movie have been bad. Some have praised on the good points and equally stated the bad points. I have yet to see one that just outright rips the movie apart.

Also, you say that we can't say anything to those dissing the movie because most of us haven't seen the whole movie. You're telling me that those of us who know the plot line backwards and forwards, know the story behind it and how it came to life through the 10 minute opera, who have discussions over the characterizations in the movie, who know the characters, who know the songs, who have the albums, who have been in direct contact with the creators know the same about Repo as those who have heard a 35 second song in PerezHilton.com? Come on! You are well spoken, so you must have some intelligence. Use it!

I'm not saying that you know the same amount about Repo! as some of the others here - I'm saying that faulting them specifically for judging it based on a sample when you have no idea how much they've seen (sure, it's *likely* they only know it from that clip, but you can't be sure, can you?) is hypocritical.

and what have I done to stump your promotion of Repo? All I've done is tell people the truth - Repo looks like it'll be great but the comments here are all biased, one way or the other, and do not make for a good basis to judge popularity from. If people knowing the truth sabotages your methods of promotion then perhaps you should use more legitimate methods…

well the directors admitted that they said "hell no" to Paris when they heared she wanted to audition but gave her a chance with no expectations and when she came in they gave her a song to learn…one day later she came back and rocked it and they ate thier words and scrambled to get her the part. And plus…shes not the biggest character in the film and i actually cant really think of anyone else who would be cool and different in the role like she is. i mean cummon…pay some attention to sarah brightman, anthony stewart head, alexa vega, paul sorvino and more great and amazingly talented actors.

Re: Charax – Listen, word of mouth is the most legitimate method of advertisement. No one here is getting paid to do this, we are all merely eager fans trying to share this film which is why our marketing is less than adequate.
No one is being judged here. We are citizising no one. All we are trying to do is have people look into Repo to see if there might be they like and not diss it merely because of an actress, or because of a predjudice caused by a 35 second clip. If you actually read through my posts you'd know this and I wouldn't have to repeat myself.

Okay. As I've already had the amazing luck to see the film, I'm going to say this: You're either going to like it or you're not. Personally, I like it. It was an enjoyable experience and having the chance to meet both Darren Bousman and Terrance Zdunich, being able to hear and see how invested and passionate they are about this project is what makes this movie special to me.

With regards to Paris: I have to admit that she surprised me. I was very skeptical of how she would do, but she truly and honestly surprised me as Amber Sweet. She's not the GREATEST singer or dancer, but she holds her own well enough. She actually makes an EFFORT and succeeds with what she does.

If you like her, you'll like her in this; if you hate her, then you'll enjoy what happens to her in the second half of this movie. Guarantee it.

I have never ever thought of Paris Hilton as anything remotely worthy of living… until this movie. She shocked the hell out of me!

Repo is really an amazing movie, and surprisingly Paris was really good, and the cast and crew that I've met have had nothing but really nice things to say about her.

Paris is a minor character, with some of her songs removed. Therefore, if she isn't in an ensemble chorus, that leaves very little time to ruin an excellent movie. If you truly dislike her, go use the bathroom when she starts singing a solo.
This movie has attracted so many people because it involves a little bit of everything in this screw up world. Everyone can relate to everything this movie has to offer. To those who talk down to it, are simply cynical people who refuse to accept something good, and too stubborn to really think about it.

As for those who talk trash on the fans of the movie. Get a life. If you think sitting behind a computer writing mean and obnoxious things is "right", you have a twisted image on life. This movie gains new fans every day, sometimes hundreds a day. With little promotion this movie was given by its Studio….we the fans have decided to take it in our hands. As a small, but resilient group, we made our own fliers, own props, and went to major cities, handing out freebies. We didn't get paid, and I am sure some skipped work to do it. We didn't care, we get in return the respect of a director, the creators, and the actors and actresses who are part of this wonderful movie. We are devoted to this. We BELIEVE in something. now, the point of all that…when was the last time you believed in something and worked so hard on it, left your blood sweat and tears on something? We found ours.
Please support the movie, but if you do not, please do not be so mean spirited. Thank you.
