The Rickrolling comeback kid, Rick Astley, has been shortlisted for a 2008 MTV Europe Music Award.

This is the first time EVER that Rick's been nominated for a moon man.

He faces Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Tokio Hotel, Green Day, and the King of Ireland's band, U2 , for this year's "Best Act Ever" Award.

      I still can't believe the MTV EMA's are in Liverpool! I live a few minutes away from the Echo Arena where the show is going to be held! I heard Beyonce was performing there and I couldn't believe it! And then its Liverpool, there are bound to be some footballers hanging around on the night. :P They're in the centre pretty much every day when there are no matches. Those are surreal moments too but nothing would compare to seeing the EMAs in my home city! That's a one off. Capital of Culture rocks!
      And please don't vote Britney. Its EMA's. The E stands for EUROPE so pick someone European.
      I heard Britney is in talks to guest host in the next series of the Sunday Night Project…
