They'll no longer be able to enjoy the new 90210!
But, it seems like they don't really care. Cuz many of them have chosen not to view it and now the show is getting pulled from the air in Oz!
Australia's Channel 10 has just taken the series off their lineup, after just four episodes, due to poor ratings.
A spokesperson for the station said, "90210 is an excellent show that clearly resonated with a younger audience, but it didn't have the kind of numbers needed to stay in this intensely competitive environment."
During its last episode on the network, the show only managed to get 616,000 viewers during its primetime slot on Monday.
This is a pretty big blow to Ten since they were considering 90210 to be one of their most highly-anticipated programs of the year.
They even purchased the program without viewing the pilot!
Ten's head of programming, David Mott, said a few weeks to the show's debut in Australia that "Generation X, who were targeted in the 1990s, have grown up and the show is already creating buzz in Generation Y."
However, the show seemed dead since its premiere which only gathered 837,000 viewers, a lot less than they anticipated.
The network will broadcast the remaining episodes during the summer (in Australia).
Will 90210 have the same fate here????
No! Thankfully the show has just been picked up for more episodes on The CW!

This "Annie" girl is a total flop… I dont even know her real name. They should focus on the other caraters. I think the other girls are doing a much better job.

Teenagers today are so needy that they latch on to ANYTHING thrown at them sadly.
Put any male and/or female between 10 and 20 years old on a television show on Fox or the CW and desperate kids will cry themselves to sleep every night over their "love". It's absolutely sickening and pathetic. These 18 year old actresses have zero talent, but stick them on a show for everyone to look at and stupid gullible kids will go nuts. The only people watching 90210 are the little kids that are drooling at the teenagers on the show. I don't know a single adult watching it because they were fans of the original.
Perez pushes it himself with his ridiculous flaming love of that no-talent group of ugly boys called the Jonas Brothers. Stick people like that in front of teenagers and thats all you need, no acting skills, no musical talent, not even good looks.

The show is depressing, like our economy. Brenda looks like she just got out of rehab. Grimey's mom looks out of place and anxious. The bro is gearing up for a nervous breakdown. The dad looks guilty of something…maybe that's it. He'll save the show with some juicy Perez gossip!
Just ordered myself season 3 of Beveryly Hills, 90210…oh yeah!!! I only watch the new 90210 because I want to see what situations they copy from the old one. I can't believe they're doing the whole new brother and sister moving from !!Kansas!! thing..atleast they changed it up somewhat. I watched the girl that played Annie on Degrassi: The Next Generation and she was much better on that. Poor girl lost her acting skills. Nothing like the original though, not even bring Kelly and Brenda back is helping..now it's based on the new kids so when Kelly and Brenda are in a scene the scenes suck. And Shannen Daugherty sure aged terribly..I just can't get by her real life drama to even think of her as a caring drama teacher!

that show was my 'after gym' wind down before Boston Legal and 30 Rock…man…in general Australian commercial tv is so crap…they just yank stuff off and will most likely just put re-runs of old idol on. It makes no sense, they have nothing to replace it with except stupid specials or reruns of old bad shows…that get worse ratings. One of our other channels floods the hours with Two and a Half Men and countdown of best list of 'insert topic here'…its painful…there is nothing good on till after 9.30 over here.
From an Aussie i will tell you about our TV Channels.
They ALL, but mainly channel 10, bring us new shows, then only screen a few episodes, long before people can get into them.
I've given up on Australina TV, i just buy any tv series i want on DVD. Even when they do keep showing us a show it gets moved from time slot to time slot without warning, and then everyone misses their shows anyway. Oh and dont get me started on shows starting at the right time. You cant tape anything without missing the beginning or end of something else.

they replaced it with Supernatural which is way cooler anyway.
But I enjoyed watching 90210… ahh well.

The yanking of 90210 in Australia by the said network (who? I dunno) is a disservice to its viewers. I'm down with the opinions of most of you regarding Primetime television in Australia. Even the primetime shows in the Philippines (most of them) suck as much as yours or even worse.
I empathize with those who lost over 90210's loss (not the original one) in Australia. Although I never watched it (yet), it is a matter of deep concern for me. BTW, ratings are always manipulated to serve certain interests, whoever they are.
