California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger is warning that the state may need a $7 billion load within weeks - or it will have to lay off LOTS of government workers and people, like teachers, may not get paid!

      Another reason we need to STOP McCain from getting into the Whitehouse! I still do not think some people realize how important that is. They are falling for his hype of change.       Seriously Perez, your site is so BORING now! Ever since you started this pathetic boycott of Sony BMG, you have nobody interesting to talk about. What’s with all the stories about politics, traumatic world events, and local town mayors? Yeah some of it may be important news, but you are meant to report on CELEBRITY GOSSIP. If/when I want to read legitimate news, I am sure as hell not going to come here to read it.
      I find far more interesting things to read on the other blogs these days, about actual celebrities, not the D-listers you have been reduced to talking about all day long.

      I'm certainly not defending Arnold, but I believe he doesn't get paid. I think that was one promises when he ran. Nevertheless he would enjoy all the benefits of the office, something I'm sure that a lot of people aren't enjoying.

      All he's doing right now is sticking his hand out for a loan and hoping for a bailout like the banks did.

      I'm a teacher and have been laid off since june…nobody's been talking about all of us who lost our jobs back then. How quickly they forget :(

      That's depressing. My husband is doing his student teaching right now & we were hoping he'd be able to get a job next semester. Now, I'm not sure.

New Jersey is in a similar situtation…illegal immigration run amok, hospitals closing left and right, too powerful unions who want everything under the sun on the backs of the taxpayers. cfreez, why shouldn't teachers pay for some of their health care?? Everyone else does. Ask anyone who has gone from working in the private sector to teaching as their second career, they'll all tell you teachers are a bunch of whiny babies who don't realize how good they have it. They have no idea what "real" life is like. My mother is a teacher and my father works in the private sector and she agrees w/ the whiny baby statement. People simply cannot pay any more.

      Both Obama and McCain are elites. He is a ninth cousin of McCain who is a cousin of Bush, etc. This was on the news and verified by ancestry.com. The elites use race, gender, and class against us, but they don't buy into it themselves. There are elites who aren't white men (though most are). The American people are screwed no matter which one gets in. Vote third party or your will be supporting the impending One World Order.

      They both support the bailout. Get your facts straight.. it is a scam. The FED has already pumped much more money into the system and inflated the dollar. We need to let the entire banking system fail as it is the first step to freedom around the world.

      "The Zeitgeist" is a free movie available to watch or download online as well as many others.. check em out people. I am a mother &college graduate, not some loon. WAKE up people!

      Maybe they should let up on their extremely lame firearm laws (maybe allow LAW ABIDINGl gun owners to purchase guns in California easier) and legalize the DOMESTIC ferret that would help pump some money into their economy. That is why I avoid buying California products. Sorry.
