Who knew Spice Girl Geri Halliwell was such a great author?

Halliwell has been named 2008's best selling children's author.

Her book, Ugenia Lavender, has really taken off and sold over 250,000 copies in the UK already in just a few months.

The story deals with the life of a spunky nine year old.

And, aside from that accomplishment, according to British retailer WHSmith, Halliwell has also been named one of the most successful celebrity authors in recent years.

Halliwell says, "I’m so happy that everyone loves Ugenia as much as I do."

Halliwell announced earlier this week that she had penned her first film screenplay.

There's just no stopping her!

Geri Halliwell doesn't have the greatest voice,but she was the obvious star of The Spice Girls.

She's the most genuine of the bunch,as well as the most intelligent.

So I am delighted to see that she is having so much success with her books.
