This is so sad, as she is a very talented performer, but she is so far into her substance abuse. I am afraid we might lose her. I hope she finds herself agian.

Yes they do. It's not called a conservitiveship there but it's basically the same thing. From my understand even friends can have you committed if there is a just enough reason. There's a British show called Peep Show that has a pretty funny Ep about having someone committed through this process.

This is just so incredibly sad and her refusal of medical care is just part of her illness and possibly her messed up personality. I know you really supported her in the beginning and she's obvously gone down hill pretty quick. It's just so sad.
Re: Nimawai – I tried to "rescue" a cracked-out person and they tore me down with them, so I can see why her parents are leery, but she is a National Treasure and The Brits should take her in hand and help her instead of making television comedies about the "situation". I just read an article in an Australian newspaper claiming Harvey Nichols sent her some designer duds to wear to fashion week and had sent them back with vomit all over them, hence ruining the lot.
