Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl was spotted in a teeny, tiny, but very green Smart Car this past Friday on his way to Barney's in Beverly Hills.
Dave is 6'0 tall.

First ….what does his height have to do with anything! The smart car still has head room.
They're actually really big inside for the driver. Most cars I need to put the seat all the way back, but that one went so far back I wasn't able to.
i sat in one of those at the detroit auto show. i'm 6'6", and they're very big inside. i could stretch out, and actually, i didn't even have the seat all the way back and was sitting in there comfortably.
no, thank you. i'm no where near 6' tall (only 5'6") and i don't think smart car's are comfortable at all. i will continue to drive my gas guzzling nissan altima, thank you

I LOVE mine had one for 3 years now - its about time the US lets them sell there Canada's been selling them for years - I'm 6'2" and have allot of room. and it is only $20 on gas every 2 weeks - i just laugh when gas prices go up i might actually have to put in $21
in all those years that smart cars existed over here, i've never been a big fan of them, but it's good he drives it nonetheless. definitely better than some fuel-drinking giant car.

There's something seriously wrong with Dave Grohl. First off, why as a rich rock star would he lower himself to looking ridiculous driving in a go cart? Secondly, that go cart will crumple like a tin can if in an accident, doesn't Dave think his safety is worth something? Once again, it's amazing the lengths liberals will go to for their insane ideology. If this guy had an IQ over 50, he would be driving an expensive, pimped out Hummer glorifying his success (even though I detest his music).

he's so sweeeeet. i love that he drives around by himself. his life is so full of contrasts and i like what i see of his navigations. wonder what he does at barney's???hmmmm innerestin,.part of him must hate it!! i'd explode if he pulled up beside me..hope i have that dream tonight!! i was loaded up with SPF 50 in 100 degree temps at the hardrock hotel pool in vegas hoping last week, hopin he'd a) be stayin there between shows and b) that he'd wanna swim..alas no SIGHtings oh well..dave is candy to my soul, sweet he rocks and sweet he rolls…
tell dave to get a hold of his sinking bar, the blackcat in d.c. the dirtbags he has working the bar will never bring in any business….they live off telling people that dave owns the bar. then they try to act superior and ignore a bunch of drink orders. too cool for school. thank god i don't live in that town. poor locals

My family owns a Smart Car. My dad's 6'3" and fits in it better than he fits in our Mercedes-Benz B-200. It has tons of head and leg room. Once you actually sit in it you realize that they're so much bigger than the seem.
Dave should fit in the car no problem. Shaq is what 7'2" and HE owns and drives one. I am 6'7" and test drove one. There is a ton of room in there front to back, but side to side is a different issue altogether!
He is sitting on the handbrake in this picture - he told me he likes to drive around with his prostate being massaged by bumps in the road:P
The smart car is actually a lot safer than you might think. My brother (he's a paramedic) has seen several people get out of a serious car crash in a smart car without a scratch! And with a serious accident, I mean driving at full speed (130km/h) on a highway, crashing, rolling over a few times, etc.
Despite the small size, it does have a crush zone. The engine moves under the driver's leg in case of an accident, so the driver's legs aren't crushed by it.
Of course, it'll never be as safe as bigger cars, but then again, the smart car is intended for use in the city where people drive at much lower speeds.
And a hummer isn't as safe as you might think. Those things don't have a crush zone so when hitting a tree, the car doesn't take the impact, the driver does. Again, my brother's been to such an accident. A big jeep had hit a tree. From the outside, the car was hardly damaged, from the outside, the driver seemed find too. But inside…his aorta had been ripped off! The driver and passengers have to take on the full impact because the car doesn't give way an inch and that's lethal!
Newer SUVs have crush zones now so they're safer now than before. But in general, those European cars are far safer than those trucks.
dear americans…I'm 6'5 and amazingly, I fit perfectly in a Smart! do u still need a gazoline monster as coxx enlargement?

I dont actually lioke the Smart, but they re roomy. I find most American cars pathetic inside for the overall dimensions, they are just so weirdly layed out.

america is REAAALLLY slow on some things lol im glad we finally have the smart here.. my dad jumped on it as soon as we found out and my lil bro now has a smart.. its a great car… for many reasons..i can see these getting really popular.. now we just need to get some more scooters on the road..

They are smart environmentally but NOT IN AN ACCIDENT.
Those things actually have a LOT of room instead, just you can only have like 2 or 3 people in it.
They have an amazing amount of room in them, I just ordered one for my 16 year old.
