i actually have a thyroid problem not unlike Oprah's and I totally understand what she's going through, the crazy fluctuating weight, the constant gaining weight even though you exercise like crazy, the inability to lose a pound. I understand her pain!

Oprah is Oprah, albeit it slim, "normal" or large. No matter what her size is, she's still the same woman. I give her credit for not hiding out when she's gained weight; she keeps on going, no matter what. No doubt she's learned to accept her weight fluctuation and continues accordingly. Wouldn't you love to see her closets? One section for "Grande"; another for "Medium" and one for "Little O"… She's an amazing woman.

I even locked my fridge at night thinking I was a night eater. I had to swallow pride & see a doctor only to find out it wasn't my fault. After my diagnosis and meds I've lost 20lbs and feel great. I still work out at least an hour a day and I have to be VERY careful about everything I take, eat and drink.
Oprah can afford to have someone do that for her.

In regards to it possibly being her thyroid, that could be the culprit! I have the same thyroid condition as Oprah. While I am no where near her size, I am 25 lbs overweight because of this condition. I can't lose 1 lb to save my life! It sucks having this, and until you have it, you can't call someone out on it.
