R. Kelly Back In Court - Only This Time, HE Is The One Suing!
Filed under: Legal Matters > R. Kelly > NeYo
R. Kelly is in legal trouble again.
Thankfully, though, this time it doesn't involve 15-year-old girls.
The I Believe I Can Fly singer believes his former tour promoter - Rowe Entertainment - owes him $3.4 million, and he's asking an LA judge to help him collect!
Kelly claims that Rowe and owner Leonard Rowe didn't cough up all the dough owed to him for shows last year and earlier this year. Rowe said, "No way" but never gave a good reason, so Kelly gets the money.
The singer, who once long ago in the 90s won three Grammys, is now better known for his sketchy business practices and consequent entanglements with the law.
He's been lucky so far, but we'll see if R. Kelly ends up with what he wants this time around.
It looks like he will because Ne-Yo just won a $700,000 judgement against Rowe when he sued for being kicked off the tour early.
We wish R. Kelly would just stay trapped in the closet!
