Al Franken's Leading In The Minnesota Senate Race!

Yes, this is really happening. It's not some SNL sketch!
According to a survey conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International on behalf of the Minnesota Star Tribune, Democratic candidate Al Franken is leading his Republican rival, 43% to 34%, respectively.
That's a HUGE lead!
The other piece of the pie goes to an indie candidate who is said to be 'hurting' the incumbent Republican.
John McCain's people should take note!
The survey also showed that 56% of the poll respondents consider the ads criticizing Franken to be “mostly unfair personal attacks”.
Minnesotans are smart!
Stop the ugly attacks! It's all about the issues, right?

Al Franken headed up a failed radio station (Air America) that was based on saying how bad America is,… how it's screwing up the world…… how the troops are babykillers…. etc. Give me a break. I live in Minneapolis and am really tired of the negative ads from both sides. But even though Al Franken is somewhat less than an ideal candidate, he is an intellectual and I believe is really committed to some issues important to a lot of my fellow MN Liberals -education, stop the war, healthcare etc. I just wish he wasn't a former SNL'er and such a weirdo. But what can you expect from the state that elected Jesse "The Body" Ventura as Governor?

I lived in Minnesota for four years, four very recent years…some people up there are still dreading the fact that Ventura was their Governor…..and Franken would make them the joke of the union……read his interview in the "100 people i hate in america….and al franken is#37"……the guy wore a tin foil hat and commented on it the ENTIRE time……
