School Girl Gave Drugged Cakes To Teacher
A GIRL aged 15 has been kicked out of school after baking cakes laced with drugs and giving them to two teaching assistants.
The members of staff fell violently ill with dizziness and severe headaches hours after tucking into treats the teenager made at home.
Worried colleagues called an ambulance and the assistants were rushed to hospital for emergency check-ups.
Doctors said that they had been drugged — probably with cannabis.
Senior staff at Wortley High School in Leeds, West Yorks, launched an immediate investigation.
Other teachers were quizzed to check they had not also been poisoned. The assistants were discharged from hospital hours later and returned to school the next day.
They decided not to lodge a formal complaint — so no tests were carried out on the cakes.
But the GCSE student was temporarily suspended by head teacher Gill Knutsson. After being interviewed by education officials, she was removed to another school in the city “to complete her education”.
Staff were said to be “shocked and stunned”. They are understood to have been warned about accepting food from pupils in the future.
A source said: “It was impossible to confirm exactly what the girl had put in the cakes because there were no toxicology tests. But there is little doubt it was drugs.
“The two assistants felt extremely ill and were unable to carry on working and had to be taken to hospital.
“What this girl did was extremely foolish and dangerous. She is lucky that they decided not to make a formal complaint — otherwise the police would have been called in.”
A school spokesman said: “The school works hard to educate its pupils about the dangers and implications of drug abuse and will not tolerate any behaviour of this kind.”
Wortley High School counts 7/7 London suicide bomber Shehzad Tanweer, 22, as a former pupil.
Earlier this year it was one of 638 schools told by Government education chiefs to boost GCSE grades or face closure.

I doubt it was cannabis. It's impossible to overdose on marijuana, and it's unlikely it would cause headaches or dizziness. It probably wouldn't cause a reaction at all if the teaching assistants had never smoked before.

if i got pulled over for drunk driving and the cops said, "we didn't bother to check, but we're pretty sure he was drunk." the judge would laugh them out of court. if this school is going to make such serious accusations they better be prepared to to back them up with some proof.

pretty stupid on their part not to get the muffins checked out - obviously wasn't pot, as that wouldn't make you sick unless there were huge quantities in it - which would destroy the taste.

1st-why would you eat something made by a student? 2nd-it sounds like it is from MTV's high school stories- last year in a jr. high, a group of students put laxatives in donuts and handed them out to other students and teachers -and some were stupid enough to eat them. I guess england is different. I know, at least by me, the cupcakes would have been tested if people ended up in the hospital. and if it was a drugging, the student would not be sent to a different school-the student would be suspended for the year.

hahaha i love the picture! a couple of months ago some kid in texas supposedly made weed cookies and gave them to cops and the cops were trying to say they had lsd in them…but they didnt. these teachers had prob never experienced anything like that so they claimed it made them sick when they really just didnt know how to handle it. not poison, justttt pot

Did the girl admit to it? Because there is no way in hell you are going to get violently ill from my favorite herb. Weed calms the stomach, that's why they give it to chemo patients. Not buying that it was weed. IF she even did it - I bet those teachers are lying, no toxicology reports, sounds like bs to me.

Yeahh I'm pretty sure that it wasn't weed, it wouldn't make you feel dizzy or sick. I can't believe they would jump to that conclusion without testing the food haha. How funny. If I was a teacher I'd love if a student gave me a special cupcake
i go to a private school but theres a public school near my school and for this girls birthday they brought in weed cupcakes and one of her friends overdosed on them and collapsed

I think it's really sad when a teacher can't even eat a simple cupcake (or whatever) made by a student for fear of this (or something like it). And they can't get a hug from a kid because of a possible inappropriate touching lawsuit. And we wonder why kids are screwed up today? The teachers should've filed a formal complaint and the girl should be in juvi. As for her "schooling" she should be sent to military school. We're way too soft in our current society. There are no consequences to actions. (I realize this incident happened in the UK, but I'm sure they have similar laws to America)

even tho the teachers prob never smoked, they got stoned and on top of that scared for not knowin whats goin on…then came the sickness and dizziness..its fear and its a mental state, you get there only with not controling your brains. it was prob an innocent prank that turned out into that! the girl couldnt have known it will end up that bad.

they went to the hospital because they felt sick.. and thought it had weed… this is just as stupid as that cop that thought he was dying because he and his wife had special brownies. LOL. they most likely didn't do the test because they over reacted and would look stupid haha..
I am a high school teacher. Kids always bring me treats and I eat them. However, I would be very skeptical if I ever got something from a kid who wasn't on good terms with me. Generally, it is kids who are considered good that bring treats for teachers. Plus, I think the majority of kids would be able to foresee the shit that would go down if they were to drug a teacher. This girl is clearly retarded.
IF I were that girl's mother, God only knows what I would've done to her. It's kids like her that made me decide not to teach.
MAN I HAVE TO PAY FOR WEED!
