It got old, quickly.
I think Obama has a good chance in wining this election !
McCain was out of it. He wants to buy up home mortgages? Isn't that what the Rescue Act did last week when he voted for it?
Barack rocked! He'll be a great President.
It was pretty boring actually. We've heard all of this, packaged the same way, from both candidates over and over before.

Barack Obama was clearly victorious. The Republicans are freaking out because this was McCain's chance to have a GREAT moment, that was their only hope and he didn't have that. Barack looked Presidential whereas McCain just looked like a cranky old uncle.

Obama got it. Not by a landslide, but he won. I did think though that McCrazy did have a pretty damn good closing and he did have several specifics concerning Russia. Overall though, Obama was the victor.

Sorry, I know everyone on this liberal site will disagree with me but Obama really did dance around the questions. Especially the last one when he was asked what he didn't know and how he would learn. His answer was "uh well I will tell you what I do know" and then went on rambling as usual. He is not direct in his answers and says the same things over and over. He ignored the moderator when firmly told to stop blabbing and wanted unfair follow ups. He seemed cocky and arrogant tonight. I watched with an open mind but Mccain to me really answered everything clearly and directly. He has proven, to me at least, that he is not like Bush and proved that tonight. He wants to help this country and I think he would. Obama seems like he is all talk, but has not proven to me that he has the abilities to lead this country properly. And with no experience and think it is dangerous to elect him at this time.
it was definitely repetitive but obama still impressed. he better win this election. mccain as the next president seems unthinkable.

3 Questions:
1. Why are all the debates being held in the east and south? There are voters west of the Mississippi!!!
2. No questions on education, No Child Left Behind- is education important only to parents and teachers? Education is the ticket to a better life - knowledge is power!!

Wow, did any of you all actually watch the debate with an open mind? I would love someone to tell me an actual plan that Obama mapped out besides one for health care, which I totally agree with. He danced around every question and rambled aimlessly in circles. I'm not saying he's a bad person or ignorant, ect. but I would've liked to hear more specific and detailed plans rather than how everything in our country needs to be fixed. WE KNOW that, tell us how you're going to do it. And not to be one sided, I wish McCain would've left some of the slandering out of it, but overall, I think McCain killed it, and thats not because I feel some loyalty to the republican party, I just watched it with an open mind.
Of Course and as usual McCain did a great job and you could tell he was getting under Obama's skin. Obama couldn't even keep to the rules and had to keep adding in his 2cents when his time was up, he kept dragging along, and basically had to be reminded to shut up.

I think McCain was on point and FIESTY! I love it. Obama rambled a lot and seemed uncomfortable with the whole format, whereas McCain really embraced it and communicated with the audience. I was fortunate to watch the entire thing in an auditorium with my college, and most of us really responded to the clear cut answers that McCain was giving. And no, this isn't bias- Obama got some claps to, but you have to admit that tonight McCain gave straight answers and seemed very comfortable. Obama was struggling.

Neither candidate had much to say that was new. I follow the news all day, so maybe I have heard everything that each has to say. McCain made a mistake by addressing the audience members as uneducated on the current economic crisis. He said that they probably “hadn’t heard of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac”. Wow. What Barack Obama and Joe Biden offer appeals to me. It must appeal to many others due to the polls. Americans are not falling for foolish “scare tactics” this election. didn't hear anything new, but it is good to see them together and hear the real fundamental differences from each candidate. McCain tried to pound Obama on key issues, but Obama bounced back after each one. They both seemed presidential, but Obama has got an edge of charisma.

As a person that watched the debate with an open mind, McCain beat the pants off of Obama. McCain laid out a PLAN for every question that was thrown his way. This is unlike Obama who just orated his way around the issue. The ONLY plan Obama defined was his healthcare plan, which was basically the same as McCains's… I liked it. I think McCain was a bit blunt,at times but what you call "attacks against Obama" were just him bringing up valid facts, the main one being that McCain's track record is much more efficient than Obama's. I seriously don't understand how people claim that Obama won this debate… you obviously have no clue how a debate is actually won. Even the very liberal network called CNN said Obama was on the defensive.
