Christie Brinkley Seeks Restraining Order Against Ex!

Former model Christie Brinkley has just filed a request for a temporary restraining order and a motion for post-judgment relief against her porn-loving former husband, Peter Cook.
Not many details have been provided, but, we want to know…did he threaten her physically? You ask for a restraining order against peeps who threaten to hurt you, right?
We're guessing that Christie's asking for 'relief' from that $2.1 million she was ordered to pay her cheating ex because he broke his confidentiality agreement by blabbing all in that new interview he just did with 20/20.

Perez: a restraining order is an order restraining certain described behavior. They can be financial in nature, they can restrain physical behavior. Restraining orders are civil in nature and enforced in a civil court. The police won't do anything, usually if it is just a restraining order.
A protective order, on the other hand, at least in some jurisdictions, can be issued to protect victims of physical violence. Protective Orders have criminal implications. So if the Respondent violates a protective order, s/he can be charged criminally. The police DO follow these and enforce them.

In this case, Peter, the Divorce Decree likely had a restraining order restraining Cook from blabbing. Cook Blabbed, so now Christie is responding in an effort to keep him accountable for violating the order. That is my best guest, anyway.

A temporary restraining order isn't the same as an order of protection. A TRO is how a party gets the court to order the other party to stop doing something, like airing all the scandalous details of your divorce to the media.
