      I'm voting yes on 8. I have NO problems with gays whatsoever. I believe as a christian, that God created everything and everyone and if being gay was such a sin then he would not have created them. They're people too, but marriage should be reserved for a man and a woman.
      And there is no reason why children should be taught at such a young age that they can marry whoever they want. It'll cause mass confusion among children.
      There's already millions of teenagers experimenting with the same sex to get attention, or because they feel like they need love of any form so badly.
      Why should we compromise the innocence of our children!?

      as for the children..
      i do beleive people are born gay..
      if they taught this in school, i dont see it as
      mass confusion but more of learning and acceptance.
      so that so many young americans are hiding in the closet half their
      lives depressed cause they arent accepted or will get teased.
      some even commit suicide over this.
      i think its well needed.
      of all the gay friends i had/have..i had to watch the world point and stare and not accept them. its sad.

      NO on prop 8!! God hates homophobes!! Christian extremists should not be allowed to have children. Just as we took children away from the Mormon cult in Utah we should round up extremist christian babies and distribute them to Gay families. Gay families represent true American values of tolerance and respect for others and diversity. Extremists Christians are the real terrorists today.       Historically the arguments of those attempting to limit the rights of others rest very little in fact. Therefore, the hypocrisy of the pro 8 supporters shouldn't surprise us. Probably the most ironic part of their whole site is their definition of the "issue." According to iprotectmarriage.com the issue is, "If gays have a right to get married, then how can they say a man doesn't have the right to marry his daughter, or a minor, or three women?" Wait so all of a sudden we are concerned about polygamy? Who is paying for this website again? Oh, that's right, polygamist Mormons from Utah!! Go back to UTAH and enjoy you marriage to your 9 cousins, but watch out because this fag is coming after your kids!

      In regards to your comment, crina_warner, I am going to disagree. If a gay couple wishes to get married, then they should be allowed to do so! IN NO WAY does someone else getting married affect your life AT ALL! It really irritates me when people like you try acting as though your life is going to be changed, when in reality, it won't be in the slightest. As for your statement, "Why should we compromise the innocence of our children!?," I'd love to know why you think that children shouldn't be subjected to the fact that people of all kinds exist and are free to love whomever they please. Do you think it's okay for a child to know that he or she is a product of sex out of wedlock? The bible clearly states the sex is only to be done ONCE MARRIED, yet a lot of "devout" Christians nowadays completely look over that fact because society has made casual sex seem acceptable. I believe that telling a child that it's okay to have children with a person that you're not married to would diminish more innocence than letting a child know that a man&man, or a woman&woman, love each other. I personally am not religious in the slightest, but if you are going to bring religion into it, then maybe you should re-evaluate your views on things a little further and really look at the picture from all angles.

      Before I even knew what gay was or meant, I was attracted to men and wanted to kiss boys… I was 9 years old. It wasn't until I was 11 or 12 did I find out what gay meant. So don't tell me that people are not born gay especially since you wouldn't know anyways.
