That's disgusting.
Even if you believe that people will be judged by God does that make it your place to judge them? Do you see yourself as having the ultimate knowledge of God? I respect your beliefs but no one has infallible knowledge of God and all too many times people cast God in their own image. Much of the places where homosexuality is decried the real sin is in fact rape or prostitution of other men.
I just find it interesting that off all the sins people are still selective and homosexuality (an easy one to resist are you not born that way) continues to be politically relevant while others do not. What about immigration? After all “You shall not wrong or oppress a stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.”
And In verse 49, the prophet writes, “Behold this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.” Yet many that proclaim to be christian would rather do the work of God in judgement than be truly charitable, pay taxes to help the needy and fund public services. One would suppose they have a justification for themselves but not for others.
As for the IDIO cause what she deserves to be named from now on. You can drop dead and do that huge favor to humanity. Untra christians conservative minds should never be allowed to have any political power. That woman is nut. What is going to destroy this country is the uncontrolled greed and lies, that it's launching us to chaos. Chilling is right. This woman is scary. In God terms, all sins are the same in the eyes of God, if homosexuality is on her list well then she should try to pass laws on jailing adulterers, people that say, Oh my God, should be flogged publically. It's a slippery slope she's on. I personally believe that God loves His/Her creations gay or straight and with that being said NO ONE knows what happens when you die. She needs to focus her efforts on helping the people and not hindering them.

While I think most of what comes out of her mouth is trash, I do think that G/L marriages shouldn't be legalised. I mean, a lot of LGBT people are nice and do not deserve the shit they get off society but to let them happen in a religious building would be going against the bible.
The bible is what our churches preach and the bible (as far as I'm aware) doesn't permit this. This would be a contridiction and in my and many other eyes proves all religion is bull. How would you feel as a mormon, Jehovah's witness or an amish to have lived risked their lives and their status as a member of their community? legalising LGBT marriages would have a devasting effect

That is the most revolting thing I've heard in a while. That an elected official can so clearly be prejudicial to members of her constituency is grounds for immediate dismissal. If you replaced the word 'homosexual' with 'black' or 'hispanic', we would be seeing an uproar on the streets of Oklahoma - and rightly so. Those of you out there in Oklahoma who find this sort of behaviour and rhetoric repugnant - get everyone you know who agrees with you and complain, en masse, to the highest power possible - I'm from Australia, so I'm not sure who that would be!
