Helio: Let Me Go!
Race-car driver and former Dancing with the Stars champ Helio Castroneves was indicted in Miami last week for allegedly not paying taxes on more than $5 million!

Castronoves, his sister, and his attorney have been accused of using having "an offshore Panamanian shell corporation Seven Promotions to conceal and disguise the true and correct amount of Helio Castroneves' income from the Internal Revenue Service."
The race car driver has been banned from leaving the country. But, now, Helio is asking a jude to change his bail condition on the tax charges so he can compete in a race in Australia.
Wait, why should he get special treatment again?
A judge scheduled a hearing to listen to Helio's request to drive in the October 26th race.
Sure. Let him go to Australia.
We wonder if he'll be stupid enough to hide any money he makes there.
But Castroneves insists he's innocent and that it was his tax experts that gave him advice he trusted.

We have more serious issues to worry about.
Not to mention our prisons are over crowded and crappy. We put people in for reasons like this when at one point we let OJ get away with murder. Plus OUR tax money is what pays for these prisons…so the more prisoners the more tax money…see the trend here?
Investigate the situation. Find out if he is guilty or not. If guilty then give him a hefty fine and community service. He is no serious threat to society, he shouldn't be locked up.
Let him go to Australia. You know where he'll be.
you can have someone follow him to Australia. it would probably be cheaper than all the tax money it would take to jail him or anything like that.
and what if he is innocent?
i'm not saying we should treat him any differently than others. i'm not saying we need to be easy on people who break the law either. i'm saying we need to start investigating and putting people in jail who are serious threats to society and citizens. we dont need to waste our tax dollars on jailing people in helio's situation. our country is in serious debt. we dont need to spend more on over crowding our jails.
