Mark Wahlberg slammed Saturday Night Live when he was asked how he felt about the show's October sketch entitled Mark Wahlberg Talks To Animals.
The former Funky Bunch-er said:
Someone showed it to me on YouTube. It wasn't like Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin, that's for sure. And "Saturday Night Live" hasn't been funny for a long time. They've asked me to do the show a ton of times. I used to watch it when Eddie Murphy was there and Joe Piscopo and Bill Murray. I don't even know who's on the show now.

It was not funny at all. He was doing Tracy Morgan's "I'm Brian Fellows" and that sucked balls too. This wasn't an impersonation, I don't know what it was but it sucked and it wasn't funny.

If they'd quit right after the chicken, it might've played well — about a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10, but they dragged it out and that just killed it.

The impersonation was funny, but as for the actual sketch itself…well yeah, not so much. I really don't like new SNL and do have to agree with Marky Mark that it hasn't been funny for awhile.

The skit was funny, but most people dont like to made fun of, good natured or otherwise. I think MW wants to be taken seriously and is probably aware of his accent being an easy mark for jokes, i'm sure snl wasnt the first. I guess it gets tired after a while.
