Quote Of The Day

"Whoever wins this election, Bush's impact has changed the world. This man has left us with three wars — in Iraq, Afghanistan and the war on terror — and the legacy of the pre-emptive strike. These are legacies that will haunt his successor for years. It's good for people, before the election, to think about who they elected eight years ago and about where we are as a country right now."

- Oliver Stone, while out promoting his new George W. Bush biography, W.

thanks united states, now there's gonna be a worse great depression.. well done, ignorant, disorganized people who love war

  2. 2

three wars? The war on terror is the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan! Not only is he an idiot in that respect, lets not FORGET that it was BIN LADEN that left us with a hole in Manhattan, the pentagon, & a little field in Pennsylvania.
    .
Despite the conspiracy theorist, Bush did not ask terrorists to blow us the hell up. That's what started the war on terror! I hate how people conveniently forget the three thousand lost to us and only like to think how Bush out of the fucking blue invaded the middle east.

  3. 3

    Another hollywood flop.

  4. 4

this is SO true!! please, everyone who is thinking of voting mccain/palin…..DONT!!!!! Look at what has happened these past 8 years…thats going to happen again if we elect thoose two! For the first time we can actually make a change in this country and it just confuses me how anyone could consider keeping us ging the way we are when Obama/Biden, while they may not be perfect, they can get us out of this mess. OBAMA 08!

  5. 5

obama 08!!! AND i used to be a staunch republican! but after seeing what has happened with Bush in the office, and seeing the things Palin believes in, I, for the first time have switched teams. Its not about voting democrat or voting republican, its about voting for who can lead the best. and that is NOT mccain or palin–thoose two look in the mirror and see george bush staring back at them.

  6. 6

Tell it like it is brother!

  7. 7

Re: Ms. McGillicutty – lol there is no evidence that it was even bin laden fool, if you dont think this war was fueled for a different agenda then your blind, & both parties are corrupt, bush just happens to be one of the worst presidents of the us. An Ap poll proves that 80% of Americans feel that way. We havent forgotten all the lives lost, alot of us feel mislead by the us government

Re: helsy – Your welcome, whoever you are.. whatever country your from, because I am pretty sure at some time.. we saved your asses from something. So your very fucking welcome.

Attention Liberals: This economic crisis that we are facing is your fault. The reason why the housing market tanked is because of your beloved Bill Clinton. It was his famous idea to allow individuals who could not afford homes to purchase them. Therefore, when they were unable to pay their mortgage because they were living out of their means- you suffer the cost. Also, the economy is cyclical. There will be times when the United States is at its peak and there will be times when it is not. This is, however, not a reflection of the President. Also, President Bush had the highest approval ratings of any president (86%) when we dropped the first bomb. Americans by nature, like a good fight, and when we think we can win we support it completely. The reason that Obama is stating that he did not vote for this war is because he wasn't in office. Hillary Clinton also voted in favor to this war. One thing should be noted, that if America starts something, it should finish it. It is individuals who do not start what they finish that have caused this crisis (not paying your credit card bills for you Gucci sunglasses). Just to let you know, that if you are truly American, VOTE McCAIN.

Re: Bellezza Italiana – You should watch the documentries done after 9/11 EVERYONE wanted to go to war. I am not kidding, I watched one the other day.. people in NY being interveiwed in the streets were asking for war. You dumb hippie.

  11. 11

Oh and those are wise but half of America is not wise at all (and I am being decent, I believe they are just retards) and they seem to hate this country so strongly (maybe the want the end of the days to come) that they want bush 2.0 with an upgrade named Palin just to screw the very little left by the worst president in our history.

  12. 12

Re: Ms. McGillicutty – Dude, where do you live?

  13. 13

    That's sooo right!!!!!

  14. 14

Re: Bellezza Italiana – No evidence? Are you kidding me?
Al-Qaeda by their own admission took credit for 9/11… who the fuck do you think is the leader of Al- Qaeda? You got it, dumbass, BIN LADEN!
    .
I'm not saying the man has been a great president, but Oliver Stone is blaming the war on terror on the US when in reality, we DID NOT strike first. We retaliated. That's what I have a discrepancy with!

  15. 15

Re: hellohello1 – lol and the past 8 years did not existed at all. In fact this is all an illusion and we are right now back in 2001. Cause everything is Bill Clinton fault lol. You know what asshole? The best years I remember in this Economy were during Bill's Clinton administration, I wish he could do a 3rd and 4rd term. Stop your comments and step up accepting some responsibility for the actions of those people you support. And since you love Bush then I can call you Warmonger.

  16. 16

    Re: Ms. McGillicutty
The "middle east" didn't attack us.

  17. 17

It's true, hard to believe someone could have done a WORSE job. Bush should be shamed, really two wars, the loss of personal freedom, a bankrupt economy, an energy crisis, a failing health care system, POWs, the blatant disregard for the Geneva convention and people around the world. Isn't ironic that the party who is so on their high horse about how to interpret the constitution, government deregulation and staying out of big business has the largest violation of the constitution since it's inception via the patriot act and is not about to be so involved in the banking system that it's similar to government ran banks? Great job W, you have succeeded in fucking up so much for so many, I only wish you were middle class or the working poor so you could feel the impact of just how much you SUCK! Even the religious freaks you go to church with don't even like you. I bet your wife hates you too. I can't wait for Obama to change things in this country so America can be great again!

    W. can hardly be called a biopic, it's nothing more than Oliver Stone inserting his propaganda into a falsified account of George Bush's life. It's a pathetic attempt at propaganda before the election.

  19. 19

    Re: baileylov – agree 1000%

  20. 20

Re: Nelly_In_SJ – …and where do you suppose those who did attack us reside? the north pole? in your own blind imagination?
    .
no, they run rampant in the middle east (last I checked, Iraq and Afghanistan are in the middle east), plotting, planning, and executing attacks not only on us, but lets not forget the ones in Spain, England and Glasgow. Oh, and also terrorizing their own people on a day to day basis. Did these attacks get lost in your deluded translation as well?
    .

  21. 21

What the fuck does Oliver Stone know about politics?

  22. 22

Oliver Stone is an idiot as Michael"pig" Moore, they should go and live in Venezuela, Iran or Cuba and then they can talk or compare America with the rest of the world…I can't believe that there are so many ignorants out there who listen to these two haters…

  23. 23

How bad is the United States? Bad enough for everyone out there to want to come here! Y'all want to send your kids here for school and y'all want to come here yourself to have a chance to prosper! Anyone try to go to France or Canada and "make it" there? So if we're so "bad" and "evil" then why the fuck do you sorry non-citizens want to come here so desperately? Huh? Ever hear of anyone from the US "defecting" to Cuba? Or Venezuela? Fucking hypocrites is what you are. I'm a citizen and I thank W for protecting me from harm. Fuck you assholes in Europe who depend on the US for protection. Cocksucking commies… I don't say Bush was perfect but tell you what, he made sure MY family was safe! Is McCain perfect? Hell no but at least he doesn't hate his country!

  24. 24

"Pre-emptive strike"? Hmm . . . yeah, I don't know if I would call any of the war/s that. I mean, the US was hit FIRST with 9/11 and all, and yeah sure whoever doesn't believe it was the fault of US-hating terrorists in the M.East (including Iraq) needs serious help. Anyway, I'm not pro-war, but I still don't get why everyone whines about hitting back at the f–kers that hit us, and hitting them back harder. My problem is with the occupation stretching it out, but who really knows the reasons/tactics behind that? And it was easy credit that really tanked the economy, the free-for-all mentality that is less common to Republicans and more common to Dems. As for the movie, big snooze, it won't shed any real light on the truths behind Bush's reign, it's too early for it to have that kind of information.

  25. 25

    re: hellohello1 : WELL SAID!

re:erhg74… seriously, do you not get it? The money with the housing screw up isn't the only thing your beloved Clinton screwed up so royally! The reason the economy is remembered as being so good is BECAUSE everyone was loaning money left and right. They were taking money they didn't have and using it on things they didn't need.
Here's a little simple economics for you since you don't understand: When people use money, it goes into the economy. It is then used over and over, whether to pay wages for employees or whatnot. However, when the people who loaned out and spent the money couldn't pay it back, guess what happens… THERE ARE REPERCUSSIONS… It took over eight years because Clinton was pushing it off and pushing it off for the next president.
I'm not saying Bush was the greatest president ever. I am saying that you should take you head out of your butt to realize it started when Clinton threw all our money out like he was in the freaking Macy's Day Parade.

    26

Then has anyone thought of the fact that maybe President Clinton's administration could have contributed to some of the problems our nation is faced with today?

  27. 27

He's right, things have changed so much in 8 years, it is amazingly scary — if only then we new what we know now.

  28. 28

    WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!….MR.STONE JUST SPOKE THE TRUTH!!…OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!!

  29. 29

he will still be friends with oil arabs, who cares whos gonna win this election? not bush he got enough millions from oil shares compagny friends, + he wont be missed he did jack for his country.

  30. 30

WOW bush left us with the war on terror! you mean bush wants to actually fight againt terrorism-thats CRAZY! Yet another stupid comment by a brainwashed, close-minded liberal in Hollywood! Please don't see this movie and if you do be smart enough to know this is a fictional story told from a liberal point of view by Hollywood! there are 2 sides to every story and the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle, this movie is not factual it's opinion based!!!

  31. 31

Fuck that washed up motherfucker. Bush has kept this country safe — not another 9/11 on his watch — by pre-emptively striking. I bet his little movie tanks — it looks ridiculous. Commie bastard.

  32. 32

Re: Rob – Thank god someone actually made an intelligent comment on here!!!! If people knew anything about politics or economics they would understand Clinton had A LOT to do with this mess! It's a fact that whenever an economy suffers people blame whoever is in power at the time! If you are one of these people-you are stupid! And if you actually believe Obama is going to get us "out of this mess" as many of you have claimed-you people are also in the stupid category. Whoever wins this election will have a tough term and neither of them will be able to keep all their promises!

  33. 33

Re: …seriously… – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! You give me confidence that not everyone is a total idiot-i was losing all hope!!!!!

  34. 34

Re: laguapa – you are one crazy loony. Get informed. Have you ever been to Europe? Cause I have and people is immigrating like crazy over there last time I check while immigration has decline here in the US cause the economy is not good. In fact, Venezuelan government last time I check has gotten so much money, money to buy any quantity of military resources to Russia, they are rumors that even they are playing with nuclear stuff. Scared yet?? Sure Bush kept this country safe lol you make me laugh so hard, that's what you think cause all you know is 60 miles around your trailer park and that's what you call the US. Wake the fuck up and understand this man is possibly the worst president in the story of our country and we are in a very bad shape right now. Yet we have an extraordinary human resource to go ahead and get out of this crisis but we need a totally different direction and stop the warmoning and start to care for the growth of our country. I totally disagree with you and your lack of vision. As your candidate you are totally out of touch with reality.

  35. 35

Re: malmcmac – I have watched many documentaries not that it matters and I read the newspaper daily. We all wanted to go to war (not including me) b/c the US government told me, you, and all Americans that Afghanistan & Irag had "weapons of mass destruction." I'm still waiting for them, anyone else? I'm just confused as to why these documents you speak of matter. Just b/c I feel like war is not the answer since I think of the innocent children being killed it makes me a "dumb hippie" but not a compassionate person. I have a feeling I would have a more intelligent conversation w/ my 2 year old than you dear judging from your comment. Human Beings are really amazing. Look how far we have come. I wish we would all take a minute just to appreciate what life is, not how to kill it. If thinking that way makes me a hippie than so be it. Sorry I'm not all about wars and such. I will tell you one thing for sure, I'm far from dumb, so next time think before you speak.

  36. 36

Re: …seriously… – you are just incredible so 8 years republican in power, majority in the senate for 6 out of those 8 and if you people could foresee the problem happening you did nothing about it, just wait until exploded so you could blame it on Clinton. PLEEASSSSEEEEE You people need to be out of power for the next 50 years so we can get some serious direction, back in track and gain the place we had and deserve.

  37. 37

The US is collapsing the same way the Roman Empire did. It's time for change. Vote for Obama!

  38. 38

Re: Ms. McGillicutty – I think you might be the "dumb ass" as you put it. I cant resort to your level but I can tell you There is No I repeat No evidence that Bin Laden was behind 9/11. Not that I'm saying he wasn't lets understand, there is just no evidence. I read the 9/11 commission report, did you? I have an aunt in New York who lost her husband on 9/11 so its a sore spot for me & she went to the proceedings. She among many others (google the footage if you need to I guess) were very disheartened by not only the lack of evidence for what has been claimed by the US government, but also that when asked for a new report with a different panel b/c some people were tied too closely w/ Bush, they were refused. They would not ask the questions that needed to be asked! Everyone was very angry, I promise you. And my aunt and my family and thousands of other families are still waiting for some answers. I'm not defending Oliver Stone either. I don't even know who he is.

  39. 39

Re: erhg74 – WOW are you slow or just stupid? You've actually been to Europe-wow you must be a foreign policy expert then because you took a vacation! get an education before you try to ridicule someone's comment! Just so you know, the economy is only part of the reason there has been a decline in immigration in the US. Our government has stepped up enforcement of immigration laws which has been a major deterrent for immigrants! And history has taught us that when the economy slows, so does immigration-it's a natural pattern! It happened during the great depression and then immigration boomed again! People want to come to the US not only for the economy but also for all the freedoms and opportunities! You're the one with the lack of vision you want to make Bush a scapegoat when there are many factors involved! ICELAND declared bankruptcy today-I'm sure that's Bush's fault too- according to you! And P.S. warmoning- not a word!

  40. 40

    Re: malmcmac

Everyone? Or just the ones featured on the documentaries?

  41. 41

    Re: Ms. McGillicutty

Al Qaida does not represent the entire middle east. Al Qaida in Iraq, did not exist until after we started our so called "War on Terror."
