Here is my public service announcement. The sad 10th Anniversary of the death of Matthew Shepard, which was Sunday (12 October). It shows reluctance on the part of gay sites and bloggers to acknowledge their own history. Out of site, out of mind. In remembering Matthew, we should praise his family for all they have done for the gay community. Matthew, unfortunately, became the face of gay hate crimes. Today, as we continue to fight against hate, bigotry, and discrimination, as noted in the political climate, very, very few gay bloggers have recognized this sad anniversary. It tells me bloggers are more interested in pushing their politics, celeb gossip, etc. than in a rememberance of the heart. Check out other gay blogs/bloggers and see how many remembered.
I urge everone to read Judy Shepard's letter "TEN YEARS OF CHANGE - NO PROGRESS" @ The Matthew Shepard Foundation website.

Re: fifinator – I don't agree with racial slurs, HOWEVER you have to deal with it like the rest of us… If Perezito takes them off it will be against our Freedom of Speech rights, and he's not doing that because he uses the 1st to his advantage all the time.
