Christ this always happens during market crashes. Times get a little tougher, people have to stop spending freely and act like they give a damn.
Then things rebound. We're not in a deep recession. Yes people are losing jobs, but it's also because mortality rates are down, the population is up(go teen pregnancy!!) and people don't know when to put the credit card away.
There are still people out there in normal jobs getting promotions, and still jobs out there in the market. You have to stop being so picky though.
