There is just no end to Angelina Jolie's generosity now is there?
Santa Angelina is teaming up with the Microsoft Corporation to defend unaccompanied immigrant children in the U.S.
Together, they are launching a new program!
KIND [Kids In Need of Defense] has an ambitious but achievable agenda. By 2010, we intend to provide legal representation for 100% of unaccompanied children-approximately 2100 children a year-in those areas of the country where the need is greatest: Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston and the Northeastern corridor of the U.S. And we'll expand our operations throughout the country based on the "best practices" developed through this first critical phase of work.
As the mother of children from around the world, Angelina knows how many kids out there need help.
The United States is one of just a few Western civilized nations that does not provide an appointed counsel for unaccompanied children in immigration court. Many of these kids arrive in this country looking for family, to escape hardship and hopelessness, flee persecution and torture, or are victims of trafficking. Many of these legitimate cases are turned down because the kids simply do not have a lawyer to defend them.
KIND will work to give these kids representation in court and the chance at a better future.

Yeah, Angelina is a philanthopist, just ask her. Don't get me wrong, I think it's very noble of her to donate as much money as she does to various groups and organizations, but don't think for a second she's not getting something back from it. If she were truly altruistic, she would not only donate this money anonymously, but there wouldn't be camera crews following everytime she made one of her charitable appearances.
Again, good for her for donating this money, but let's not make her out to be some kind of Mother Teresa-like saint. She, too, benefits from her actions.

I truly think she does this because she really beliefs it… Adopting kids is not that easy, its not like you just take a kid in, use him for publicity and than give him back… She took the kid, she realized how much responsibility she had… And she gets good publicity for it, I do not see anything wrong with that…
People aim to be successful and make their name remembered, at least her name is remembered for something good.
I mean, I just dont get it, when celebrities party, drink and get in car accidents, thats bad, when they donate money, volunteer, and help children it also bad… They are celebrities, they are in a spot light…!

They are "unaccompanied" because their parents have probably been killed or taken by rebel groups or corrupt governments. Re: Goodness – I understand these are children. That is what leads me to believe that they did not just wind up here by themselves. I feel for them. I really do, but there needs to be some order in place. The law needs to be maintained and followed.
Children don't just wander for miles and end up in the US after losing their parents. I understand that some end up here because of trafficking and that is awful. I don't think that anyone would say differently. Those children still need to be returned to their families in their country.
I have left the United States. I understand there are terrible situations out there in the world. I would not wish these situations on anyone. However, my dear, you do not have to leave the United States to see these situations and ugliness.
This is where some of the anger comes in. People are breaking our laws and getting all kinds of free aid and support while our own citizens are struggling every day. We give and we give and we give to other countries and then to those that are illegally in our country. Our own country is falling apart. When are we going to take care of ourselves? Will anyone be there to help us?
How about we protect our borders in the first place?? Problem solved.

I have two things to say about Angelina Jolie. First of all I have to say that I don´t like her, because she obviously goes after married men. She also has this aura about herself, like she thinks herself she is better than everyone else. Plus, she´s always going solo (or with Brad) in her charity work, she seems to never cooperate with other celebrities. It looks like she always wants to have the glory for herself only. And I don´t think she is right for Brad. To me Brad looks like a guy who prefers to be "the dominant part", or the protector, in a relationship, and that he definitely isn´t in his current relationship with Angelina. Jennifer Aniston on the other hand, seems to be a person who prefers to be the one who doesn´t dominate, the one who needs protection. And that is why I think they looked PERFECT together.
The second thing I wanted to say about Angelina Jolie is that I think she is very smart. I think the reason why she does charity work in public is that she then puts the focus on different areas that need support. She is, no matter how much I don´t like her, a role model for many people, and everything she does will be copied, or at least thought about by other people. Had she done her charity work out of the media, nobody would have know about it and started thinking about it. And that is what we want, isnt´t it? To do something with the unfairness around the world.
