Another King for CNN

Larry King won't be the 24-hour cable news channel's only King!
According to Variety, King of Comedy, D.L. Hughley, has been tapped to host a show that will offer a skewering take on news and events.
So, CNN's version of the Daily Show!
CNN's president said, "D.L. is a very thoughtful, well-informed guy with unpredictable views, and I’ve always admired his comedy. The basic premise of the show is, what if a guy like him was let loose in the CNN building for a weekend after the lights went off?"
The Hughley show will tape before a live audience on one of CNN’s news sets in New York.
When asked about the format, Hughley said, "We’re going to have to find our way" ….But.. "that the general idea is to have fun with the news, either in commenting on it or, more often, by talking to people who are making it.'
The show will air on Saturdays at 10 p.m. starting October 25th.
Politics and newsy stuff are sure hot these days!

yeah right, good luck with that! How in the hell are you gonna rip CNN if you're ON CNN??? The reason that Stewart & Colbert are so ingenious is that they are on basic cable - comedy central!! They can say what they like about who they like! You can't truly be satirical about the news if you work for the news channel. Sounds like a great big turd to me!

this is so cool. DL is funny and you NEVER know wtf hes going to say. I remeber once he pulled out a study (that was on CNN once) that talked about he health benefits of swallowing sperm. I was like…did I just hear that???

DL is the best choice..all his comedy shows and jokes you see and hear are mostly formed out of current news…and he gives good perspectives not only for the black community but for all americans
i think it's great. maybe a year or two ago i saw him on letterman or something and he had some great jokes about obama and politics. i was just thinking about him b.c some of it rang very true(but nothing pro black)
