In the year 2000, California voters voted NO to gay marriage. Earlier this year, 4 supreme court justices, out of 7, overturned that vote. WE already VOTED NO TO GAY MARRIAGE! THESE LIBERALS ARE TRYING TO OVERTURN THAT AGAIN!

No one can sue the church! Church's don't pay taxes, so they need to keep their religious views off the table. Prop 8 is only so that the state of California will legally recognize a gay marriage. marriage according to law is a (hopefully) loving partnership between two people. there are specific rights that go along with that partnership, and all humans should have access to those rights, no matter what sexual orientation they were born with

Luckily,we Have Massachusetts as a precedent, and the Catholic Church has been sued for not adopting children into gay households, and they have started to teach gay marriage in the schools? Don't believe me? how about you guys stop yelling about things you don't know about and do a little research. Then see whi is right or wrong. If a gay catholic wants to get married in a catholic church, and they deny him, he can sue the church for not being "Equal" Sorry. That is not right, when you force others to Accept that way of living. They can live that way if they would like, but don' force me and my family to accept that way of living as normal, because it is not. Do some research, then come talk to me. YES on 8!

Re: BRAD – I'm from the UK where gay marriage is legal and quite rightly, the same thing has happened in this country where the church refused to adopt to gay couples, the government turned around and said that is fair you have your views and they should be respected but this country has its own views and if you refuse to adhere to them then get out of the adoption business.
The church is an arena for religion which is to be respected but it is NOT an adoption agency
Funny thing is Obama stated that he is against gay marriage but wants gay couple to have legal rights, as they already have in California, and that he wants marriage to be between a man and a woman. Then to completely contradicts himself. Obama the hypocrite says that he is against an amendment to specifically sanctioning marriage between a man and a woman. No wonder Obama holds the record in senate for voting "present" over a yes or no statements. Oddly enough, many homosexuals have been so blinded by his rhetoric and oratory skills that they missed his red flag contradictions. McCain says what he means and votes accordingly which Obama even admitting to his moderate status. Again though, Obama is a hypocrite. Just LOOK at his words!!
The term "marriage" comes from the religious sacrament of MATRIMONY. The government, like other countries, should only concern themselves with civil unions and Churches, Synagogues, Mosques, Temples, and other religious venues should concern themselves with the sacrament of Matrimony/Marriage according to religious beliefs.
The problem with Prop 8 from a religious perspective is that it sets up the possibility for lawsuits when certain faiths disallow for marriage. A similar enough case can be found by googling: Charlene Hastings who is suing a Catholic Hospital for refusing to allow implant surgery in sexual reassignment. That is what the battle is actually about since Homosexual couples already have full legal rights even without marriage.
Just vote NO on prop 8!!
This is just more confusion for people. People, please vote YES on 8. If you don't, all the schools curriculum will be changed. Children will learn about same sex marriage as if it is no different from "traditional marriage". Textbooks will have to be re-written to include this. Sex-Ed classes will also include same-sex sex. Churches will eventually lose rights for "discriminating".
If you don't vote YES on Prop 8, society as we know it will change.
I love how people don't realize that the whole Mac vs PC was the very idea behind this commercial. Also, commercials are always geared towards a certain demographic. This one, younger voters, obviously.
