Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes is about to become the next musician to release an album posthumously.
Eight years after her first solo album, Supernova, Eye Legacy, originally slated for release later this month, will now drop in January.
The album will feature unreleased vocals recorded by the artist before the tragic 2002 car accident that took her life. There are allegedly 12 tracks in total with guest appearances by Lil Mama, Chamillionaire, Missy Elliott, Bobby Valentino, and fellow late rapper Tupac Shakur.
Two dead rappers on a song together???? So creepy!
An October release would have just been too Halloween-y.
In the spirit of Left Eye's generosity, a percentage of the profits will go toward her foundation and her orphanage in Honduras.
