Doing It For The Vets!

More media do-gooding!
MTV and their "Choose or Lose" campaign have partnered with CNN to support veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
On October 24th, A Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the BRAVE will air at 8 pm on MTV.
The show's name references a petition MTV and several veterans' organizations created called the Bill of Rights for American Veterans (BRAVE).
50 Cent, Ludacris and Saving Abel, Kanye West, Kid Rock, Fall Out Boy, Angels and Airwaves, Nelly, Juanes and Taylor Swift are among the celebs that will take part.
News packages from CNN and MTV News will air throughout the special concert, which will be held in front of an audience of young veterans and their families.
And, on October 25th, CNN will air a special of the Anderson Cooper 360 called Back From Battle that focuses on stories of young veterans.
MTV president Van Toffler said, "It doesn't matter where you stand on the war, we can all agree that young veterans serving our country must receive the benefits they've earned for their sacrifices. We aim to elevate these issues and ensure they're a top priority for our government officials."

This would mean MTV is trying to achieve something that the U.S. Goverment has up to now NEVER EVER managed to do???????????? Take care of the mentally deranged and financially and healthwise often ruined for good Veterans?
The US did NOTHING for their Korean Vets!

The USA did NOTHING for their Afghanistan Vets!
The USA did NOTHING (except for maybe Bush Administration using them for "Pomotional purposes" for the voters!) for their Iraq Veterans!

Well, my feelings are hurt. I am an Army Vet who served in Iraq over a year in 2003, and I got no notice or invite for this. Love the government!
