On Friday, in the first fifteen minutes of the show, the RNC's lame-o equivalent to Oprah, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, dissed conservative commerntator Ann Coulter.
Uh oh!
Someone's Republican stock just dropped!
During a discussion about a study saying blonds in fact do have more fun, fiery Joy Behar had this to say:
"If they (McCain/Palin) win, she'll (Palin) be blond, believe me. And if she loses, she'll be blond and have a job on Fox TV because they're all blond over there … Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Elisabeth Hasselbeck."
Elizabitch quickly interjected:
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, please don't put me in the same sentence as Ann Coulter, thank you very much."
We thought she would find it flattering!
Lizzy went on to clarify, once again, that she's staying put on The View.
She's not planning on jumping to Fox News (at the moment).

No Elizabeth is certainly no Ann Coulter. Ann coulter may be nutty, but she went to a top five law school, is much smarter than Elizabeth and agree or disagree with her, she can argue her opinions. Hassleback on the other hand is merely a pretty face that gets her opinions from watching Sean Hannity and listening to Rush Limbaugh. So while I disagree with both Coulter and Hassleback on their views, at least Coulter would be fun to have at a dinner party. hassleback would just be irritating.
The ONLY people who should be in the same sentence as Ann Coulter are Charlie Manson, Godzilla, that kid from "Life Goes On" and the Pilsbury Doughboy!

At least Elisabeth is nice looking and doesn't look like she's been eating lemons. I don't blame her for not wanting to be linked with Ann. Don't think for a second that Hasselbeck will leave the View. She's normally the catalyst for their most newsworthy on-air arguments and the producers/ABC can't afford to let her walk for that reason alone.
First of all: I really don't know of anyone who would want to be associated with Ann Coulter.
Also, despite the fact that I don't agree with most of her political opinions, I don't think Elisabeth gets the respect that she deserves from all of her co-hosts during a lot of discussions - especially taking into account the fact that most of them tend to present themselves in a way that seems just as closed-minded and self-righteous (not to mention bullying) as they accuse her of being, and the fact that half the time, they can't back their opinions up any better than she can.
I just think it's really dangerous the way people seem to base their opinions on the views of celebrities who, too often, aren't any more informed than anyone else.
Ann Coulter is repulsive. Laura Ingraham is not anything like her. A bit of a cliche to lump them together.
It is quite scary that so many of you actually are sitting home watching the View every day. Don't any of you have jobs? No wonder you are all voting for Obama.
