Ellen Donates $100,000 to NO on H8te!

She got married this year, so OBVIOUSLY she wants to support marriage equality!
Many have been wondering where Ellen financial support for No On 8 has been, while a bunch of other celebs have been shelling out cash for the cause.
We think she did plenty - talking about it on her show, blogging about it on her site and even making a PSA about No on 8!
Well, DeGeneres has finally made her move, purchasing $100,000 of TV air time to present the heartfelt spot she taped urging folks to vote No On 8.
Ellen's television ad comes at a crucial time, less than three weeks prior to the election, and will hopefully reach the hearts and minds of Californians everywhere.
Equality California campaign director Patrick Guerriero said,
"Her voice has a tremendous ability to elevate this conversation above the scare tactics and help people understand what's at stake for the people they know and care about. Her generous contribution to the campaign comes just at the right moment – and is done in a way that ensures her conversation with voters continues to Election Day. And it delivers our message that Proposition 8 is unfair and just plain wrong."
The proof is in the pudding, because in a recent guest appearance on Ellen, Democratic Veep candidate Joe Biden came out against Prop 8.

Perez, why do you insist on referring to "Yes on Proposition 8" as "hatred"? Are people in a free country not entitled to their freedom of expression and freedom of religion? Some people, for religious reasons or otherwise, are opposed to gay marriage. They have no ill will towards gays and they certainly don't hate them, yet you continue to make this absurd blanket assertion that "Yes on Prop. 8" is an act of hate. I don't think it's terribly tolerant or accepting of you to deem an opposing point of view as hatred (that's an incredibly loaded accusation, Perez) simply because it's not in accordance with yours. Whether it's for or against Proposition 8, everybody in California is entitled to their individual opinions and each should be equally valued and respected.

No on 8! And no on the fake messiah! Obama on his own website that he was AGAINST gay marriage because it went against his christian beliefs. Now it's completely gone, he removed it from his site. This happened before. The flip flopper defended Rev Wright up until he parted with him. Rev Wright has said publicly that Obama speaks differently in private. Look it up. Obama will say anything to get elected.
$100K is not much for Ellen. She should give more. So far, we've seen very little giving from celebrities. $2500 from Neal Patrick Harris? Please. He can afford much more. And where is David Geffen? He should have given $5 million by now. The only person to really step us is Steve Bing. I worry people will regret not doing more when this thing wins by only a point or two. Something to think about…

however, i notice exorbitant amounts of money being donated to this cause. I feel it would be much more sensible to put forth this money to a more practical cause, like helping children starving in Africa. This money would feed and educate lots of people.

I'm not really current on my Bible readings but I'm not sure where it says that being gay is bad. I do know that it says that Jesus loves everyone. So, then he loves gay people but they are people too, right? Then, why can't gay people get married? Why do they have to have "Civil unions"? Why can't everyone be equal? Why should my gay friends not have all the same rights as me? Just because I'm straight. That's bullshit!
