Thursday night was BIG for Dave Letterman!
6.5 million people tuned in to see John McCain kiss Letterman ass!
It was Dave's most-watched night in three years.
The last time he saw those numbers was when Oprah stopped by to see him!
What did you all think of Dave's grilling of the Senator?
Maybe the late-night host will be asked to be a presidential debate moderator in four years!

Because people wanted to see what Dave would say. McCain showed his true colors the other night in the debate. We know what he would say. And we know that he would be rude, crass, and childish. He's unprofessional and he could blow at any minute. Personally, I watched to see his near constant blinking and his very far-from-the-truth answers. And he didn't disappoint.
I think Dave should have kicked McCain's ass for being an outright liar. If McCain lies about canceling an interview on Dave, what else is this guy lying about. He called out McCain's on his BS plenty, but I find nothing funny with the future of this country on the line. The sooner McCain/Palin bites the dust, the better off we, and our retirement accounts, will be. It was also LAME that the Late Show did a wide shot of Ne-Yo's Obama jacket. They pretty much suck.
I watched a video of it and McCain was pissed!!! LOLOL!!!!! Letterman not only grilled him about Palin's qualifications, he told McCain that he hung out with some pretty nasty people, too. McCain said he only "met" this guy, Gordon and Letterman said, "No. You were at a fundraiser at his house!" So McCain is wrong to try to say Obama "pals around with terrorists" because this guy who's McCain's friend went to Jail according to my father.
I thought it was great. It showed that McCain has a sense of humor and he's a nice guy.
I think it's ridiculous how people are defending Obama on his relationship with Bill Ayers. He might of been 8 years old when he did that stuff, but in 2001 he stated that he wished he would of done more. So that makes him to still have that in him that he could/want to do more.
That's WHY people should be questioning him and stop defending him.

It's amazing to me that Letterman (rather than the traditional news guys) had to ask McCain the tough kinds of questions have needed to be asked ever since he chose "No-Dick" Cheney as his running mate. I'm also glad he did the Pot-Kettle-Black on McCain regarding his associations with Liddy. In both cases, Obama with Ayers and McCain with Liddy, the association is tenuous at best, and certainly not something that should decide an election. I think Dave helped Mccain make that point.

I went to Foxnews, Drudge, and every other news org out there to compare. And all had people, dem and repub, talking about how rude and childish McCain was.

By the way, I'm a Ron Paul fan and dislike both candidates. My party blinders are off and it let me see that McCain is someone who not only has a bad temper but also has an attitude problem. He's way too sarcastic. He has no ability to self censor and he whines like a child. He was rude and interrupted Obama numerous times. He was silly and acted like a desperate man. Sorry, that's just how I see it. And judging by the projected electoral votes that they have right now, many others see it the way I do. Obama is going to win. No doubt.

There are so many people out there that have no idea what his plans are they are just going to vote for him because hes different.
On a radio station they went out and asked people questions about him but reversed it so they would say all of McCain's plans instead of Obama's. When asked if they thought that Obama's VP pick Sarah Palin would do the job, they agreed and had nothing but positive remarks. And it went on like this for awhile.
One guy said that he finally has someone to relate to, him being black.
Now if that isn't the stupidest thing ever, than I dont know what is.
People need to get educated on this and not just vote on there race.

What a great interview! McCain was clearly grumpy and unhappy about the line of questioning. He kept trying to move Dave off controversial topics but Dave just wouldn't let go! McCain's body language was tense throughout, and he wasn't smiling so much as just gritting his teeth and clenching his jaw.
Funny thing is, Dave wasn't particularly cheerful either. Anyone who's watched his show knows when he's enjoying the chat or just barely tolerating a difficult guest. You could tell he was getting irritated with the crappy scripted answers McCain was trying to feed him. Neither one of them was really having a "fun" time, despite the fake jovial chuckles and "warm" pats on the shoulder.
Bottom Line: Don't screw around with Mr. Letterman! McCain burned him with the no-show and Letterman had a major bone to pick from the moment McCain arrived on stage. McCain didn't like the public ride out to the woodshed, but hey, he brought that upon himself.
Comedy is Letterman's line of work but he's far too intelligent and informed for anyone to come into his house and try to yank his chain.
