Reba Twists Some 'Christian' Panties
We hear Bibles getting whipped out!
In a new interview, country star Reba McEntire reveals that she believes in reincarnation.
What would Jesus think???!!!
Says Reba:
"I believe in reincarnation. I believe I've gone both ways — that I have been here before as a man. I will get flak from Christians who will say I can't be a Christian if I believe this… I'm sorry, but this is how I live my life, this is what I believe. I believe I have spent time with my son, Shelby, before. I believe I have spent time with other people in my life before. Who knows? Maybe I'm part Buddhist."
What kind of a man were you, Reba?
Will a massive Reba boycott be pursued now?

FIRST, BITCHES!
And BTW - she looks like a man, so she's 1/2 right, LOL!
And she can't sing worth shit either, LMAO!
Where is everyone? I've been first alot lately, hmmmm, good timing I guess?
You go Reba!
ZZZzzz! Slow day, huh?
she's Fancy
What's the big deal? So Reba believes in reincarnation. I think she is still an awesome person, performer, and in my opinion the BEST entertainer ever. It is nobodys place to judge her. She is one of the few entertainers that doesn't have run ins with the law, actually gives back to society and true to herself. And in all honesty she has said this once before. So why is it now that it is such a big deal. I still and always will love you Reba!
There simply is NO BASIS to believe in such stupidy.
WTF? I spent time with my sons, too- when I carried them for 9 fucking months each.
maybe she's part hindu.
yay for her, for not being shoved and pushed by other christians.
I Love Ya Reba!!!
i believe in reincarnation. i believe i have also lived past lives. so what? if my beliefs cause someone to freak out and cross themselves several times, so be it. i am who i am, and i believe what i believe.
Reba has been sipping the moonshine.
I agree with her totally! I may be "catholic" but I do not limit my beliefs like most… people can believe what they want!
That's really cool, how she's so open minded about other things, a lot of religious people I know, Are very strict to there own religion, and won't even consider other people's opinions.
big black is living proof…….hi dick!
Nothing wrong or outrageous with her beliefs.
Re: SoCalSkippy – WHAT A FAG!!
And I must've been a serial killer in a past life. How else to explain all the shit I have to endure in this excuse of an existence….
Well for good her for standing up for what she believes in! Although on a side note… it is a little weird considering her sister sings christian songs and for cowboy chruch services
If/when Reba receives any backlash from Christians, it will speak more of them than of her. Christians are the lowest forms of life on the planet.
I have an advice for Reba:Dear Reba, get out of this country.we are fcked retardeds morons that are obsessed with the Bible.Move to Europe. In Europe you can have the faith that you want.and there are a division between church and state. They dont have in their money "IN GOD WE TRUST".IM A CHRISTIAN,i live in hell(Oklahoma-Stupidity is in our DNA) FULL OF HATRED BIGOTS,that use the bible as excuse to the most hateful acts.so give a finger to the heartland and be FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a product of 12 years of Catholic schooling (yeah, I know) but I believe in reincarnation too. Good for Reba for stating her belief system. Let it stir up those bible-thumping Christians a little. They love to have a new victim to preach to and try to convert. Reba can take it. She's been around long enough to know how to handle herself and she's got enough fans that she can afford to lose a few. She's not losing this one.
Perez,
Don't try and stir shit up that isn't there. It's someone stating their beliefs and the only reason there would be backlash is because of YOU starting it yourself. NO ONE would make it that big of a deal at all if you could shut your mouth about one of the most respected entertainers ever. Stop trying to turn nothing into something.
This doesn't bother me one bit. She has the right to believe in whatever brings her peace.
reincarnation is bullshit
Re: SoCalSkippy – I would assume everyone's out, sweetheart.
Ya, that's wack. Read the Bible though. Especially the Psalms, Proverbs and 4 Gosphels. They are a wealth of wisdom any good person can apply to their life regardless of your faith or even if you are total non-beleiver.
Has she fallen off the wagon again? Dude what the hell??????
Hey, we all have a right to believe in what we want, it's called FREE WILL. We have a right to do what we want, when we want and to believe what we want. This is the greatest thing about America, we are able to be who we want and free!
I'm a Christian but who cares, Reba is HOT! No way does she look 53. Anyway, she can believe what she wants, doesn't make me not appreciate her as a singer.
I have been a Christian since I was fourteen, however, I believe in Reincarnation. I support Reba in her beliefs; everyone has their own way of interpreting the Bible and living the way they feel they should live. I go by the motto of live and let live. Her beliefs are not hurting anyone, so why should they have a problem with it??
I'm not a Christian, and I'm not religious at all, but I was raised in a household that went to Church every Sunday and I have read the Bible. I don't understand why people say they're Christians, but believe in something that's fundamentally not Christian. It'd be like if a Buddhist took communion. It seems like maybe people are letting tradition get in the way of what they actually believe? Why would you continue calling yourself a Christian if you didn't believe in only what the religion taught? Religion isn't like a buffet table. Sure, you can choose to ignore parts of a religion and add parts, but why bother doing that? If you don't whole heartedly agree with a religion, don't practice it.
Love it, Reba! Great to hear you have such an open mind…
I hope not. Reba is awesome. Besides, shouldn't christians be worrying about other stuff like hunger, poverty, and homelessness? Oh wait, no, they are out JUDGING PEOPLE!
I'm a christian. (but not a bible hugger)
I also believe in reincarnation
I don't think it's that big of a deal
And Reba is awesome
Yay for independent thinking Reba!=)
Good for her, I believe in reincarnation too. You can be a christian and still have your own personal beliefs. Why do you have to be just like everyone else in the pack to be considered a christian?
Jesus was a zombie, so if people get pissed that A LOT of christians believe in past lives….they've got bigger things to worry about
Reba is cool.
OH WHO CARES! AS LONG AS PEOPLE MAKE THEMSELVES BETTER PERSONS FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE, WHY HATE ON THEM FOR THAT. fucking lame! No one judges any of you for what you believe. or do they? Perez cant wait to see you on paris' ass kissing show next week!!
PS MOST CHRISTIANS ARE SELF RIGHTEOUS HYPOCRITES ANYWAY!!!!!!!
This used to be public….? whats with the whole posse thing?
I think that Reba McEntire was silly to include an automatic defence against the christian followers in her thought on reincarnation and her experience. youve already waved a flag.
GO REBA!
Back before 1000 AD the Christian church (i.e the Catholic Church) actually believed in reincarnation. it wasn't until 1000 AD that they changed their minds on this doctrine…
Re: SoCalSkippy – She is an AMAZING singer and an amazing person. She organized the first ever house built entirely by women for Habitat for Humanity and consistently gives her time and money to that generous cause. People can believe whatever they want. i am athiest and i don't put people down for believing in Jesus or god. everyone has a right to believe whatever they want. leave the woman alone. btw, reba, i LOVE your smile. it goes from ear to ear
christians dont wear pannnties.
Uh-oh ;]
I was at the Reba & Kelly concert last night and Reba kicked ass! so did Kelly. I was suprised at how good of a show it was.
I love Reba, im seeing her in concert tomorrow.
Re: Deke – Actually gay people are.
I'm not offended. I was also raised Christian and yet I too believe in reincarnation. I believe the Christians got some religious "facts" wrong and so I have always been accepting of other religious beliefs which I feel have got things right.
i like her more now.
As a Baptist, I too believe in reincarnation! So for me, the pastor can just get over himself & my folks too!! No changing my mind, i've felt this way from 8 years of age.
this bitch needs to go. She dissed dixie chicks a while back guess now she has no voice but hoo haa to brag about.
Perez, what are you trying to do with this story? Who cares what she believes? Everyone has the right to say and believe whatever the hell they want. I don't understand why this is such a big deal.
I'm a Christian and I believe in reincarnation too.
Oh no!!!!!!!!! What will the Religious Right think??!?!?
Heaven forbid a country singer doesn't worship Jesus.
I skullfucked Jesus and came in his nose.
why do you have to stick rigidly to ALL the rules of a particular faith? I'm christian and I take no offense to this comment at all. I believe in certain things that are part of other religions and don't believe in some aspects of my own. There's nothing wrong with that and I'm glad she threw out a new perspective to all the people out there with sticks up their asses.
Re: Bracket – Why can't religion be like a "buffet" as you call it? Are you saying that only one religion is correct or better to believe in? Why can't people believe in the little pieces of this and that that they choose to? I AM Christian and I will continue to label myself as such because that is how I was raised. I took 12 years of applied catholic teaching….but i believe in some pieces of other religions as well and don't completely interpret my own religion as everyone else does. That's the great thing about America, I can think how I want to. I don't think it really matters what the label is that's on it….and you CAN pick and choose what to believe in to feel a sense of fulfillment, peace, and security.

Reicarnation absolutely exists, no question about it! We have all been here before, and until we live our life correctly, we will keep coming back to live it again! Once we have achieved that goal, we are given the choice to go to heaven, or to stay on Earth, as another persons Guardian Angel!
Re: JGTR – I couldn't have said it better myself!!! I love Reba!
Love her.
She has the right to believe whatever she wants, all of this "Your not a good christian is you believe that" crap is so annoying. Everyone should just mind thier own business, worship who you want to worship, believe what you want to believe, and leave everyone else the hell alone. Go Reba!!!
…I love her and believe her also. "Long ago and o so far away…" she was a man. Cool.
Reba can be Buddhist, Christian, Hindu or anything she wants… I just got a psychic reading by email at www.psychicanswerstoday.com for $25 and got answers the same day.
There is a hell of a lot more evidence of the possibility of reincarnation than there is of half of the shit in Christianity.
Reincarnation is all about karma and karma sure as heck is real. If you don't live right you have to come back as many times as it takes. Hitler is probably a maggot.
I believe in reincarnation but it worries me that I might come back much worse off than I am now. I do think religion is the biggest scam of mankind, the invisible product that has sucked people in for thousands of years. How can mere humans here on earth know what's going on up there…..not possible.
Re: JGTR –
Sorry but she is NOT the best entertainer EVER! WTF?
I like Reba but come on!! Tina Turner socks her any day on stage! And Patti Labelle of course!! And tons of others, not even gonna start naming…
If you believe in the Bible stories you know that Jesus was reincarnated down here on earth through the virgin birth. That is reincarnation. So clearly there is proof that it is possible.
Some people try to explain reincarnation away by saying our brains are like computers and our cells in our brains remember (or is incorporated into our current brain memory banks) our past generations. That could explain instances of deja vu or remembering or sensing past lives. I do not disbelieve in reincarnation.
Incidentally, I believe that a man named Jesus was sent here to take away the sin of the world and to die on the cross for these sins. I believe in the miracles that mankind claims this man did for us. So I guess that that makes me a Christian. If he did not die on the cross we would still be sacrificing animals on the alter to appease our God anger at man-kind.
I wouldn't worry about the "Christian" issue. It's subjective. There are so many very, and every person will tell, "My way is the only way."
it's cool she's admitting to what she believes in. it's too bad she will get the backlash, though
Good for her!
reincarnation was part of the bible and its teachings until the Roman Church abolished the teachings in 500 AD. So that makes the bible thumpers today complete hypocrites.
wtf i LOVE the reba show
Yes….
beacuse all Christians give a shit about what Reba McEntire thinks
really, she's overestimating peoples intrest in country music stars
I LoVe Reba!
she's sooo cool and her music rocks!
Can't wait to move to america and maybe finally get to see her in concert!!
xx
i love me my reba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think that's weird at all. I'm a christian and I totally think reincarnation is possible. It's freaking GOD; he can do anything.
Who cares what she thinks?
GIRL CAN SIIIING
Nothing wrong with reincarnation. Good for her!
I don't care if she thinks she was a peanut M&M in a past life…in THIS life she rocks my socks off. You go girl.
I think she's fantastic! She lives her life as a Christian should and instead of letting her success go to her head, she uses it to inspire others. For example, after winning the ASCAP Golden Note award on Monday, she went out to dinner with Kelly Clarkson and Ronnie Dunn. After finishing their meal, the 3 of them gave the kitchen staff a standing ovation. Unlike some female "musicians" in her age range *coughmadonnacough* who feel that they are superior to their fans, she's keeping it real. As far as her spiritual beliefs are concerned, she makes more sense than several other celebrities *madonnatomcruise* I can think of. She's what you would call Good People.
who cares i believe in purple bunnies coming down from the moon and rescuing us all from evil gnomes
I LOVE Reba!! More power to you for fight the "regular" belief!! Just because you are Christian doesn't mean you can't believe differently!! GO OBAMA!
