What about what are the framers of the constitution fought for. What about the fact that they sought sovereignty from England to free themselves from unfair taxation?

I do not agree with abortion but I do believe every woman has the right to choose. Sara Palin thinks it is okay to shoot innocent animals and hang them on her wall but it is not okay for a young girl to make a heart wrenching decision to terminate her own child? She seems like a control freak.

I was talkining witha nurse who worked ina hospital that aborted babies..of which she did not believe in by the way..they half dead babies were just put in a utility romm to suffer and die..she said a baby cried and whimpered for 8 fucking hours and NO ONE would do a thing to save the poor baby's life. She wrapped it in a blanket and held it for hours until it finally died. By law she was not allowed to do anything to save it! She would have lost her job as well!..She had nightmares for days about that little child crying until it finally just died. Thats what all you pro abortion jerks stand for!! I wouldnt do that to an ANIMAL let alone a human being! I woulda grabbed that poor little baby and ran with it to save its life! All life is precious!! OMG- It's very obvious that a lot of people don't know what a Vice President does. Sarah Palin's job wouldn't revolve around reversing supreme court decisions or taking away any "women's rights". I'm a woman and I'm offended at the two-faced way some women are actually treating Palin. We bitch and whine for years that women should be able to do it all, that women should be able to be in high positions of government but then when one does make it to such a level then people degrade her, and it's women who are doing it. It happened to Hillary, it's part of why she isn't on the Democratic ticket. This "Palin is Evil" crap is hypocrisy at its best. Keep on whining women, but don't bitch when there aren't any women willing to stand up for themselves anymore in a man's world….because once they do stand up, it's some of us women who are knocking them right back down!

It's amazing to me that most of you think that the VP slot has so much power. Don't they wish. I got news for you..it doesn't. You are giving Palin way more power than she would actually have as a VP.
Instead of worrying about Palin you should be worried about your job if Obama gets elected because he's going to tax your boss MORE than he/she is already being taxes and businesses are already taxed to the max. I have a business and I'd be better off being poor and having no business because everything I make goes to taxes and if they go even higher then what's the point of trying. A tax cut isn't any good for the middle class if you tax their employer to the point where he/she has to lay people off. So, that few extra dollars you might think will make a difference in your pocket really won't. You'll feel the difference when the boss can't keep you on or can't pay for your health insurance. STOP and really look at Obama's plan, pay attention to what it really does say. It is not a good plan for "middle class" people in reality. Do you know anyone who is employed by a POOR person!
WAKE UP and see that yes you think Obama is sticking it to the rich but he's really hurting anyone who struggles to have a business and do good. Under his plan I'd be better off having no ambition and better off relying on the government to feed me than trying to own something, because under Obama there is no reason to even try to be successful and have a business, he's just going to tax it right out from under me. IF ANY OF YOU aspire to own a business in the next few years, or IF your family already owns a small business then I encourage you to read both plans for your own good before you vote for Obama.
This message is very well made. While many of you are correct when you say that Palin is only up for VP, let's keep in mind that McCain isn't the youngest or healthiest of candidates ever to run for office. The chance that she will become our president is not that low. That in mind, please also remember that like Pres. Bush, McCain (who often takes similar beliefs as Palin) will probably abuse his power to issue executive orders. I'm not saying this will be used in any sort of anti-abortion way, but we need to be careful who we put in office if we want our rights protected.
It's great to have our own ideas and values, but we need to remember to respect others ideas and values as well. Because I won't have an abortion doesn't mean I want to take that right away from others. Please support the land of the free and consider the issues at hand SERIOUSLY before voting on Nov. 4.

Now that’s all fine and dandy, if it worked. You can’t just tell hormonal teenagers not to do something. You need to give them the tools they will need to do whatever it is that they are doing safely. Don’t teach them not to have sex because it’s morally wrong to do so before marriage, teach them about condoms and other types of birth control. This way they will have the knowledge to prevent pregnancy, not terminate. So if good old George W. wants to keep putting these bills out there to keep women from preventing pregnancies, maybe he should give us room for more options. I’m all PRO CHOICE; I don’t believe any man should be able to pass a bill to tell me what to do with my body. It just sucks that if you become pregnant the only option you might have if you don’t want to keep the child if to give it to the “perfect American couple”. Good job republicans. Oh and PS John is going to die soon from old age and Sarah is going to be our president and she will force her beliefs on us. Great.

The high rape rate they are talking about in Alaska is because their are Native American polulations their- it is harder to enforce laws on reservations and harder to track perpetrators. Obviously states without high Native American populations are going to have a lower rate of inceident given these facts.

Re: Givenchyde – It's actually not hard to enforce the laws on reservations, its call marshalls. I lived 4 miles form a reservation and I've heard of about 3 rapes since I can remember. They have police forces of their own that do fallow our laws.

These women and children don't speak for me any more than Sarah Palin speaks for me. I don't care what their mothers and grandmothers fought for–but I know that mine fought to be able to speak for themselves and did so without needing a chorus of whiners to back them up.
