Expect some major layoffs at NBC!
The company's head honcho, Jeff Zucker, has announced plans to to slice $500 million in expenses, or 3 percent of the company's overall budget, ahead of next year.
The cuts will affect all of NBC Universal's divisions, including the flagship broadcast network, cable channels Bravo and USA and the Universal film studio and theme parks.
Zucker is asking managers to look for ways to cut staff and other costs, including travel, entertainment, promotional expenses and outside consultants.
EVERYONE is fucked.

I blame their Obama-biased coverage of the 2008 election. People deserve some balanced reporting, and they do not show this at all.
Fox is experiencing its highest viewers this year, so I doubt it's the economy that's really affecting them… People are searching for news every minute, every day now… Media outlets should be experiencing higher profits now. I'm sure CNN and Fox are.

Sorry, fans, but NBC is in the tank for alot of reasons, if not for Tina Fey/Sarah Palin hype…no one really cares about NBC, or MSNBC for that matter. When you have to pull 2 anchors off election coverage for their OBVIOUS bias toward Obama (B.O.) you know they stink.

Every time I watch NBC I feel like they're trying to tell us who to vote for. They probably think they're being subtle. I used to like Andrea Mitchell, but she's so in the tank now. Same with the Today Show and Nightly News. In-the-tank. So I don't watch much NBC anymore.

I hate NBC. They took my favorite soap opera "Passions" and sold it to Direct TV. Then after people signed up for Direct TV and I didn't. One year later they drop the show. The biggest scam from them. I hate them both. Bunch of freaking crooks. If you want real news, watch C-span, everyone else lies or just won't tell you.

They are laid off their jobs so they can't afford to pay off the huge debt they've aquired. I am tired of people complaining about the bad economy. If you don't like it, move to Afganistan and see how much you like the economy there. Or, try Dafur, after living there for a bit, the last thing on your mind will be money and the economy.

Jeff Zucker should be the first one to go considering he's running NBC into the ground. I'm sure he's not lowering his own compensation package either. It was the Clinton Admin. in '99 when they pressured Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac into giving home loans to people who couldn't afford them! Zero down payments…loaning to people with terrible credit… how could THAT ever backfire?!
