I just saw this ad when I was on myspace! If 50 Cent can get money, then she can. So she can buy more coke.

They have one with Kristi Alley on it and one that says you can lose 40lbs in two weeks. They are getting ridiculous. I almost pity the people that think these products can work as well as their ads claim.

You guys are completely missing the point. They're not saying they'll make you look like Amy Winehouse, they're suggesting that her method of weight loss is unnatural, thus the "Wanted: Women interested in losing weight naturally" tagline. They shouldn't have used Winehouse's image, but at least they're trying to say that losing weight the way she did is unnatural and unhealthy. Too many women are getting it into their heads that losing weight naturally is unachievable.

Re: fantomas – Weight loss is perfectly natural. It's when your body taps into its reserves (fat) for energy. Basically, when your body needs more calories to function then you're providing through what you're consuming, it'll start eating the stored calories to make up for the loss.
No offense, but how is this any different from the things that Perez says about her on a fairly regular basis? In the end, they're both exploiting her situation for either financial or popularity gain…

I understand where people are coming from saying that this ad is telling us Amy lost weight the unnatural way but that still doesn't make it good advertising. Whoever designed the ad obviously didn't do a very good job of getting their intended message across since it looks like an ad for crack.
