"In just four years of operation, Any Soldier® has become world known, and we currently support the majority of the military deployed in the war on terrorism.
The rest need your help — and so do we.
Any Soldier Inc. is in desperate need of donations to fund our operations and growth. Your donations will allow us to focus on certain high-priority initiatives we are undertaking, including:
Maintaining and generating Soldier contacts. This is currently a process that we manage by word of mouth, but to make it more effective we strive to become recognized by the Department of Defense so that we have an official method to initiate cooperation with the units. We also plan to develop additional methods to contact and support Soldiers who do not currently have the communications tools to be in our program.
Developing effective and creative ways for you to support the Soldiers, including ways for you to do this in a tax-deductible fashion.
Creating cooperative and useful alliances with manufacturers and distributors of items that are requested by the Soldiers, so our supporters online have ready and affordable access to these items.
Improving delivery methods for your care packages. This includes building an ongoing relationship with the military mail systems (APO and FPO) to improve communications between these organizations and our supporters (especially improving the wording of their guidelines to avoid confusion) and working with the US Postal Service to streamline package delivery to Soldiers.
Spreading the word about how people can support Soldiers and the ways Any Soldier® is working to make that happen."

thank you or posting this Perez. I was deployed for 15 months in Afghanistan and got SO MANY wonderful packages, cards, pictures, etc, from anysolder.com and it made my day EVERY TIME.

anyway, as an undergrad, i organized a fundraiser to raise money and other items to donate to anysoldier.com. The most basic things like cookies, lipstick or magazines brighten up their day and give them morale. It's so simple and it really makes a difference

Dear drinking too much gin phadora…the military does not allow gays in. Why should I support straight people who CHOOSE to join? Would you expect black people to support a group of wonderful white folks who joined a whites only group? And exactly how do you speak out about this anti-gay policy if you're such a big gay rights supporter?
this is not about politics this cause is about supporting the troops. has anyone ever thought about them for a change? these are peoples brothers,sisters,mothers, fathers, sons & daughters and some of these troops are people who have no family at all. how can you ignore them. any soldier is a great program and at my job we ran a campaign to help gather donations. we collected tons of stuff needed that you and i take for granted everyday. soldiers need things like simple snacks like candy and gum to stuff like Gatorade even toiletries. this things are to show them that they havent been forgotten, show them appreciation and to show we care. now i may not agree with why they are there but i'm not going to act like they don't deserve my respect, not just because they are soidiers but because they are Americans and mostly because they are people too.

My 2 brother's Brad and Nick are over there and my nephew is shipping out in a month. He's getting married and was worried about not having a house for his new wife. We gave them ours! I am so proud of them.
Perez, I think it is wonderful that the military is being supported by you. It's not often in the liberal media that this happens. My father has been to Iraq twice, and is going back soon. He's 50 by the way, and needs to retire, but that's his way of being patriotic, so I support him. My brother just got deployed to Afghanistan as well. I encourgage people to send care packages, you have no idea as to what these men and women deal with while fighting this war.
Im not sure about the rest of the country, but schools aroung here have stopped sending cards to Any Soldier because of security concerns. I assumed they had stopped ALL any soldier contacts. Im glad to hear that isnt the case!
