42lbs in 3 months that is crazy and very unhealthy. Diet and exercise are the only two ways to get the weight off and keep it off (aside from surgery). Just watch what you eat and go for a run or a walk. I know it takes time but once you lose the weight you will feel a lot better that you kept with it believe me I have been there.
