Making Xenu Happy - Anonymous Attacked!

anonymous__opt.jpg

The internet group "Anonymous" has made itself fairly visible when staging protests, such as picketing during Katie Holmes' opening night performance of All My Sons on Broadway.

Apparently, like many others, the group isn't a fan of the cult religion Scientology.

And now, a teenager from New Jersey who considers himself a member of Anonymous has been charged with assaulting the "Church" of Scientology website.

The 18 year-old, Dmitry Guzner, was allegedly involved in a "denial of service" attack on the Scientology site early this year, in January.

According to the information filed last Friday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, the attack "contributed to the unavailability of the web sites."

And, according to the info on file, Guzner launched the attack "because he believed the attack furthered the goals of the anti-Scientology group 'Anonymous,' of which he considered himself a member."

As for Guzner, he has agreed to plead guilty to the felony count which estimates that the Church of Scientology lost between $30,000 and $70,000 as a result of the Internet attack.

Craziness!

No need to break he law, Anonymous!

Members should stick to protesting or making viral videos.

Good for him. That fucking cult is dangerous. They abuse you, they take your money, and they fucking brainwash you. Fucking sick, twisted freaks. L.Ron Hubbard was a loser with a washed up sci fi writing career. Then he got a brilliant idea on how to make money. And people still fall for this lame ass BS. So fucked up.

  8. 8

    I say Kill em ALL!

  9. 9

Ale v podstate máš pravdu Perez- tie opletačky so scientológmi vám nazávidíme

  10. 10

A felony?? Are you kidding me? That is just too much. I'm sorry, they have to be stopped.

  11. 11

Those scientology fucking bastards sucks the life and money out of its victims. Usually I would say they deserve whatever they get. But they should be attacked by legal means and I hope the Anonymous crowd won't support this kind of attacks on the church. It will give bad publicity and make the Anons look bad.

  12. 12

All religions are cult-like not just Scientology.

  13. 13

    tax them

  14. 14

    that's awesome!

  15. 15

I'm all for anonymous' protests but not this. Not to mention the fact that those $cieno freaks are the ones who should be in prison for all the harrassing, stalking & threatening that they do.
Anyweirdo, keep up the good work anon's, $cientology hurts people & they need to be stopped!!!

  16. 16

If my understanding of all of this is correct, the DDoS attack that this guy is being taken to court for happened back in January and Anonymous has stopped doing this sort of thing entirely. I hope that everyone involved has the sense to take the punishment coming for any illegal activities, no matter now noble the intentions may have been, and the rest of Anonymous keeps up the good, legal fight we've seen from February onward.

This kid acted of his own free will, we can't tell any singular member what to do and what not to do. The majority didn't condone these actions, and nobody encouraged him. Our MO is, and will continue to be legal action against the corrupt Church of Scientology.

A scientologist PUNCHED AN ANON IN THE FACE during a protest. This kid who took their site down for a little while is facing 10 YEARS in prison. One decade of his life. How much time do you think the scientologist that decked a peaceful demonstrator in the jaw will get in prison? How much press coverage will you see about that incident?

Do your homework. Then form an opinion. The Co$ preys on ignorance.

Scientology and religion should never be used in the same sentence… thats like saying I worship the Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual Volume IV

I have been watching this unfold for awhile, since the beginning, and can give an honest opinion. I'm not a member of either the church or the anonymous group. I'm jsut some guy thats watching this thing unfold, and got pulled into making a stand.

To be fair, the kid did break the law, and thus must be punished by the laws of the land. When the attacks started back in Janruary of 2008 anonymous existed ONLY on the internet until people received messages from people that used to be in the cult, and urged them to channel thier justice through legal means. The DDOS attacks stopped, and the legal protests began. While breaking the law is a crime, in this case it spawned something far greater, 9 months later scientology is losing money, and has began to shrink in membership as people as begining to realize what they are really about (money)

People have the right to believe in what they want, but when others take advantage of that for profit, it becomes not religion but fraud. I urge everyone to just do a little research on their own, and you would be surprised in what you find. Whether you want to take the side of scientolgy, or take up a mask yourself and join the protests of gross human rights violations are up to you, but at least inform YOURSELVES, and impower yourself to make the right choice from there.

  20. 20

Scientologists are "bat shit" crazy, but they're still entitled to believe what they want.

  21. 21

    Scientology sucks.

  22. 22

    Re: TheDirty Justin_Bobby – hahahahahaha

  23. 23

Hey as long as they're not hurting anybody, (forcing minors to marry old perverted men, running polygamist communities, sacrificing animals etc), if people wanna join them and/or donate large sums of money, and live a certain lifestyle it's strictly by choice. This is America people!, we're supposed to be all about freedom of religion. I think it's time we become more tolerant, the world insn't just black and white.

  24. 24

    go chan!

  25. 25

This charge stems from the DDoS attacks in January when the whole protest movement started. I know what the kid did was wrong but $cientology has so many crimes under it's belt! I don't see movies with Scilons in them nor do I use products with Scilon spokes persons. I would not work for a company that uses Scilon tech for training purposes or has any connection to them. I try to do what I can to keep my money out of their pockets. They are not a religion and their tax exempt status needs to go! Bat shiz crazy $cientology needs to go bye bye!
