Mary Kate Olsen was snapped arriving at LAX this past weekend.

Since it's an Olsen twin, we're assuming the bag she's carrying is made from real animal fur.

      Aww it's a shame. I watched a documentary on fur this morning n it was a woman who couldn't understand why it was so controversial so she went to all these fur farms and to idaho to see trapping, to see if she would still wanna wear fur after witnessing how the animals were killed. Her opinion on one of the farms was it was quite humane and she actually didn't mind having the beaver being trapped and taking 20minutes to drown but it was the foxes chewing their legs off and the seals being bludgeoned to death that made her weep. When she got to the factory where all the pelts ended up being sold, there was fur from china, america, uk, denmark, some from farms, some from traps, some from strangulation and there was no way of guaranteeing the animal(s) you were wearing were killed 'humanely'. So this woman put all her fur in the trash as she didn't feel comfortable wearing something that spent it's life suffering or chewing it's limbs off. It's strange what people do for fashion.

Killing an animal for it's fur is wrong. If you want to know why it's wrong, go to the peta website and watch the videos. If you want to make sure you are buying humane meat then buy cage free and range free animals so you know they've had a good life and humanely treated.

      I've seen fur when put together nicely, and even PETA would have to conceed that its lovely work - even if they then went on to their regular terrorist acts right after that concession.

      No one, no matter who you are, has the right to dictate over someone else's life. Especially someone you have probably never met and do not even know. If Mary Kate worked hard enough to afford a fur bag then let her be. I understand that many people are against the use of real fur for clothing and bags, however it is never their place to say whether it is right or wrong. I do not see meat-eaters and fur-wearers throwing acid on PETA protesters. In fact, I do not see them harassing and screaming viciously at the protesters either. If someone has an opinion, that's fine and it should be respected. However that opinion should not be forced upon someone else.

      How can you try to protect animals from cruelty when you yourselves are being cruel to a human? If you cannot learn to treat your own race with respect and compassion then how do you ever expect to help animals? Yes maybe some of the methods used in creating fur items are inhumane, however approaching the issue with negativity will do nothing. Mary Kate is an amazing person who has so many talents and interests that most of you probably do not even know about. It's a shame that so many of you are so ignorant and oblivious to reality.
