Stewart vs Palin: It's War!

Jon Stewart doesn't hide his feelings towards Sarah Palin.

While speaking to a college audience in Boston, Massachusetts, this weekend, the host of the Daily Show took the time to respond to Palin's comments about the "pro-American" parts of the country.

Stewart let it all hang out.

Says Jon, "She said that small towns, that's the part of the country she really likes going to because that's the pro-America part of the country. You know, I just want to say to her, just very quickly: Fuck you."

The reaction came in response to Palin's comment on Thursday night at a North Carolina fundraiser when she said, "We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe…that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation."

So Stewart added, "I can't take it anymore…After eight years of this divisiveness, we're back to this idea that only small-town America is the real America."

Stewart then referred to Palin's hometown of Juneau as "the woods."

He says, "McCain made an interesting vice presidential choice. I like the woods…I just don't know if I would pull my vice president out of the woods randomly."

As for Palin's statements that Barack Obama is linked to terrorist Bill Ayers, Stewart had his own remarks.

He said, in a Palin impression, "I've never seen someone with a greater disparity between how cute they sound when they're saying something and how terrible what they're saying is. Don'tcha know, Obama, by golly, he just is a terrorist?… Oh, you know, he just, gosh, kills babies, you know."

i agree! sarah palin is a backwoods, anti-feminist, idiot who wouldn't let a rape victim get an abortion– and she opposes birth control! i can see how well mommy palin's teachings are working for her preggers daughter…..

Yeah separated himself from that guy Months ago, doesn't change the fact that he sat in that congregation for 20 YEARS! Once everyone found out about the anti-American rants he conviently left the church. Wright's been saying things like this for years, video clips are everywhere. I'm disappointed that as a U.S. senator he would listen to such terrible Anti-American rants, I'm even more disappointed he remained in that church while being a father to two little girls. Is that what you want them to hear?

Re: PLainJane82 – I can't stand Sarah Palin but I will tell you this…you are one sick, disturbed, weird, scary little girl. Get yourself some help and while you are at it….Google Karma…it's comin for ya ignorant woman…you are beyond nasty~

  4. 204

Re: Vicky Valor – A few months is a short time compared to the 20 years he was in the church. Racism goes both ways and Obama attended a racist church. When whites think negatively of black people is racism. When a black person thinks negatively of a white person it is black pride and justifiable. This is not equality. Our government/media has enslaved the American public with the concept of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS that no one can think for themselves anymore. Out of fear of being called a bigot or racist or intolerant, we, as a society, have ceased being judgmental of others and ourselves. Judgment is an underlying moderator of public decency and decorum. Without, everyone is allowed to do as they please, no matter what damage it has on the common good. The louder the better we have been told. By holding ourselves, and those around us, accountable for our/their actions, our society would be a better place…living by the GOLDEN RULE. But no……we have those who want to divide us………….divide and conquer.

So far two off my the top of my head are STEPUP and Money being funneled to the HOPE Grant. AS for actual individuals who th emoney goes to only Financial Aide esp. the financial Aid of Universities know that particular answer.
As for the schools with sushi machines, olympic pools, two track fields etc ( we ave them here too) they are the priveledged 30% I am talking about the other 70% around the United States that are dilapidated and lacking a functional toilet. Again Bill gates foundation is the easiest place to strt to learn of these schools. WHat child can learn in that environment so fix those NOW as for the teachers go through techaers and seperate the best from the rest and pay them accordingly. I know teachers that took that job b/c of the "summers off". All Obama can do is make the proposals ( so that is working on it) it's up to Congress to pass it. Obama has worked w/ Univ. Of Chicago picking applicants wlong with the decision board as to which students should receive certain grants. That type of information is priveleged er University.

  8. 208

I can't understand the vicious attacks on Governor Palin. Disgusting. It's amazing to hear celebrities (who are as a whole uneducated, drug abusing adulterers) call her every ugly name they can think of.

  9. 209

Re: Shastamagic – I will answer your question when you answer mine…..What if the Obama's had paraded five children across the stage, including a three month old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter? What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review? What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class? What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?
What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?
What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while he was still married? What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to painkillers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization? What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

  10. 210

Re: Shastamagic – or maybe you could answer this…NO ONE has commented & I will KEEP posting it….What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five?(The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.) What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker? What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter? What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashing seven planes?
What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many occasions, a serious anger management problem? What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution? What if the Obamas had adopted a white child? You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected reality,do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are? This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.

  11. 211

Jon Stewart RULES. There's nothing more to say.

  12. 212

    Re: bullsonparade
    so true.

  13. 213

Re: LusciousLiz – As I read your post, I was reminded of every article that Perez Hilton has linked to his site. I know McCain is not saint, there are not many left, but I am not voting for him for who he is. He is just a figure head for a faction of our American government that represents policies and values that I relate to more than Obama's. Do you really think Obama has never done one bad deed? Many do, so I would not be surprised. Every "truth" you so creatively hid among your personal comparisons of both candidates is every story that the Obama camp and the media wanted you to hear. I have heard them also, but I have also READ about Obama and his policies and future plans for America and I do not agree with what he says. A president does not has total power. That is what congress is for. So I do not put much in who the candidate is, more what they represent. For you to bring up such personal issues of McCain's means that you have lived a perfect life and are open to insult anothers because of their lack of perfection.

  14. 214

Re: Shastamagic – I 100% disagree…I am FAR from perfect and my post was simply making a statement that the way we look at things no matter how much we want to admit it is racial in MANY ways not just skin color…but if the tables were turned could you imagine the things being said about the Obama's? Things would be MUCH different in fact Obama wouldn't stand a chance…it's not only sad…it's completely unfair.

Re: sweetpiece – Wow - I never tire of reading more prose from the "tolerant" left in this country. Why is that the liberals can't just simply disagree with someone's politics. FU Sarah Palin?? Bloody moose fucker?? Ignorance and arrogance is a foolish combination…

Google "Englewood Garden". lol. This is indicative of how Obama spends money.

  22. 222

Re: LusciousLiz – I agree that racism does cloud our society, and that sometimes it is very subtle, even to the point of being in peoples' subconscious. I am a McCain voter, but you do make some interesting points that are important for all of us to consider no matter who we vote for. Thanks for calling Plainjane82 out… her attitude is exactly what we DON'T need, and I'm sure she does not consider herself a racist, when clearly, she is.

  23. 223

I am so tired of people on this site saying that Perez should stick to gossip… he has a right to put whatever the fuck he wants on here just as much as you idiot McCain supporters do as well! I mean get over it just because he's not saying what you want to hear doesn't mean he has to stop, don't come here if it bothers you that much! I am sure Perez isn't worried about what you think anyway I am sure that this isn't the first time that he has had to endure people talking about his opinion I mean he does this for a living people! Get a life and go comment on a political blog if it means that much to you!

  24. 224

I love John, but I feel like he wants to eff sarah's brains out.

    Re: mark18usa
    Post 217
Smirks is Not a racist, she has never posted a racist staement on this site since I've been reading her comments. State ziti is a clear cut racist read some of his shniit sometimes , he leaves no doubt as to what he thinks.

  26. 226

    Smirks-
as for Obama and Englewood gardens, I wouldn't be too quick to crow on that. Obama was only able to raise 100k of the 1.1 million needed to complete the project. Obama appropriated 100k and gave that $ to a former campaign worker that lived in that com. to use the $ for the garden. Obama's actions is NOT what is under investigation, but WHY the STATE CERTIFIED the MONEY WAS SPENT APPROPRIATELY WHEN CLEARLY IT WAS NOT. BTW, the ONLY reason Obama was only able to raise 100k is because he lost the congressional race to Bobby Rush. Besides Former gov. Ryan and present gov. Blagojevich were the ones that were to monitor the work NOT Obama hence why he isn't under investigation.

  27. 227

I agree. If Palin had a brain, she would know not to alienate most of the population in a presidential campaign.

  28. 228

    Re: MINXLIVES – #225
    Thanx Minx :)

  29. 229

    Re: MINXLIVES – #226
Not crowing really, but it's one of those things you probably wish your candidate hadn't done. Like Palin's "bridge to nowhere". She's not under investigation for that either. I just think the garden and the bridge are comparable. Makes you go, ugh, I wish they hadn't done that.

  30. 230

    Re: Smirks
I can concede to that. I sometimes drive by there IN THE DAYTIME. You do NOT want to be in Englewood at evening down because it is VERY dangerous. He just entrusted the wrong person to spearhead the project and actually deliver :(

  31. 231

She was just trying to work the crowd…Stewart=World Class Douche

  32. 232

Re: MINXLIVES – That's sad. Too bad they didn't get the garden. Sounds like it would have been nice for the area. Sort of related is the phenomena we have in California and wondering if you have it in Chicago… we have urban ninja gardeners who, under cover of night, plant and beautify public areas (like medians). The reason they do it under cover is that local governments won't let them do it if they apply for permits, etc. I think it's nice. Does anyone do that out there?

  33. 233

If Americans were honest and this election wasn't about popularity. No one would vote for Obama unless they were crazy. Let me put it this way, if you were to read both McCain an Obama's resumes and you had no idea who's was who's…I can almost guarantee that an overwhelming number of Americans would easily vote McCain. Honestly what has Obama actually done in Senate? Not his fundraising and community programs…actually done as a Senator? People wanna rag on Palin for not having experience and that's fine…but if you are gonna go there, hat experience does Obama actually have?

  34. 234

A recent post from another site:

"Just FYI to the first poster. My friend saw Bristol when she was pregnant. Trig was born at 8 months… "

"You can get pregnant right after giving birth, look it up."

"Her and Levi were doin it right after she had Trig."
    -
    -
No idea if this is authentic or not - what I DO KNOW is the circumstances surrounding Trig's birth - especially the 8 hr. flight back and no one on Air Alaska noticed Sarah was . . . pregnant - and had been in labor for some time?????
    -
    -
Also, Catherine Baxter- Johnson (I think that's the exact name, or close) who was the Dr. - she's nowhere to be found. But then, if she lies, she can lose her license.
    -
I find it insulting beyond words that Palin apparently thinks the nation is so stupid as to believe her ridiculous "story." And vile that she threw her own daughter under the bus for her political aspirations. Deny this woman any further attention, let her go back to Wasilla, and hunt moose for the rest of her days. She's not fit for decent humanity.

"There, now you know what everyone close her knows, hopefully she can stop being depressed about her mom stealing her baby now."

  35. 235

Re: AmberS – I didn't read their resumes, I read their economic, health, and energy plans - that's what matters to me. Add to that, Obama is a 2 time senator, prior to that, years of community work, and thank god - he's a intellect — smart enough to surround himself with the best cabinet possible.
    -
Look who McCain picked for VP . . . . not very wise.

  36. 236

    Re: LULU~* – #235
    "He's a intellect"
    Bahahahahahahahahahaha
He may very well be, but apparently YOU are not.

  37. 237

    Re: AmberS – #233
Exactly. It reminds me of school. You have an older professor who know his shit, has years and years of experience, his course is difficult, and he expects a lot from you. Then you have a younger professor, new to the profession, very cool and hip, friends with his students. All the students love, love, love the younger guy… but it's not what's best for them. Style over substance.

  38. 238

Written by Peggy Noonan, former Speechwriter for Ronald Regan:
    Oct. 20, 2008
    -
"In the end the Palin candidacy is a symptom and expression of a new vulgarization in American politics. It's no good, not for conservatism and not for the country. And yes, it is a mark against John McCain, against his judgment."
    -
Time and again, Republicans are taking a stand against the McCain/Palin team.
    -
you don't have to hear the pros & cons from me — this is from yet another former prominent Republican.

  39. 239

Re: LULU~* – You actually think Obama's economic, health, and energy plans are better? He wants to take honest tax payers money and spread it around! How is this a good idea? Personally I am not wanting to give even more of my hard earned money to people who don't want to make there own way. It will cause class wars. And C'mon… socialzed health care is great, it works so well for 3rd world countries. And speaking of his energy plan…he says he will "look" at drilling. We all know he won't. So we will continue to depend on other countries to provide what we already have at our disposal. You have a right to your opinion and I would never tell someone they cannot have a difference in view, but facts are facts. Unfortunatley along with the media and hollywood you my freiend have been fooled. You believe what the media says. Look at some unbiased sources. I am by far not a political expert, but I will not make a decison on who I vote for with unbiased info. I don't consider myself strictly republican or democrat, but I am a christian. I cannot with good concious vote for Obama, I don't intend for this to start anything it is just my opinion. The man scares me. I am scared that he will drop Israel as our allie and try to make nice with our enemies. If for no other reason than that, I WILL NOT VOTE FOR THIS MAN.

  40. 240

Re: froco – Your comment only goes to show utter and complete stupidity on your part. Your comments also make people think that all republicans are liars - which is not true - but you are a horrible representation.

  41. 241

Re: AmberS – I can break the tax table down for you again — yes, I feel Obama's tax plan if far superior.
    -
I'm surprised how many people confuse personal income tax - and wealth - with business income tax and profits.
    -
Giving a wealthy person a break - under McCain - those making over $600,000 will get an additional $109,000.00 a year — is not going to mean they will provide more jobs.
    -
Now, if their business does well, and there are profits (and tax breaks), then yes, they may hire more staff, open additional stores, et.c
    -
But giving someone a break on their personal taxes just means they have more of their "own" money.
    -
That said, why on earth is McCain giving a huge tax break to the wealthiest?
    -
The tax break to folks, let's say, making 250,000 and down is clearly better under Obama's plan - and that is easily the enormous percentage of the population.
    -
If that 95% has more "personal" wealth, they are likely to spend more. And Mr. Weathly will then make a "business profit, and with that, likely to provide more jobs.
    -
But please, don't get confused between personal tax benefits and business tax benefits — I can assure you, the money will not come out of Mr. Wealthy's personal account to give Joe Schmoe a job - only if there is profit on the business side.

  42. 242

I'm not hear (at least today) to scream and holler about McCain/Palin - I'm hoing to only present the straight forward facts - and folks then have the right to make their own choices.
    -
Yes, the U.S. is the only industralized nation to have have universal health care. But neither McCain or Obama is attempting that.
    -
My concern: For me to keep similar health insurance as an indiviudal that I have now with my company would cost me $800/month (I checked).
    -
So, will cost me 9,600 per year.
    -
As a single person, McCain will give me 2,500 per year. That is taxed at 33%, so I will get a net of 1,650 per year.
    -
I get $1,650 a year under McCain — and it will cost me $9,600 a year.
    -
Pretty simple — I won't have health insurance anymore.
    -
I think the situation is far graver for families, and it terrifies me.

  43. 243

    Re: LULU~* – #242
Really? I have a family of five in California and my health insurance is 3800/year. Why is yours so expensive?

  44. 244

Re: Smirks – 3800??..in cali??…wow….we are family of five in RI….we average 12000 a year (self employed)……if mccain wins, you'll have to get me your brokers number so i can buy into your plan…..woohoo…..maybe i'll spend spend spend the money i save in healthcare on something really kick ass to boost the economy!!

  45. 245

Re: mamajud – Ya… I guess we're just lucky. Hubby has a great plan through his employer. I am self-employed and if it weren't for him I wouldn't even be able to obtain a policy due to a preexisting condition. Also, California is a major hub for healthcare plan headquarters in the Sacramento area, and they have been pushing for years for affordable health care for all Californians. Maybe it's a state thing? Dunno. Sorry to hear yours is so damn expensive! That sucks!!!

  46. 246

Smart, outspoken, and looks hot with silver hair!

  47. 247

She didn't mean that D.C. wasn't pro-America, she was saying that the towns she was visiting were very proud to be American. She shouldn't have said it in that way to seem like she was making a distinction… she was simply giving the small towns a compliment and people like to grill her over the fire for every small freaking comment.

Try doing the same for Obama for once. He said in an interview he wanted to visit all 57 states… 57 states, huh? There are 57 Islamic states. Notice how that wasn't newsworthy, yet every detail of Sarah Palin' life is all the way down to her bra size.

  48. 248

    Re: Shut.Tha.Fuck.Up
well regardless he still has little to no experience and is NOT QUALIFIED to be president… Even Joe Biden said so in the primaries before he was chosen as obamas runningmate!!

  49. 249

    Re: Shut.Tha.Fuck.Up
you're posts are not funny and don't make sense… you should probably just SHUT.THA.FUCK.UP before you make yourself sound even worse…

  50. 250

Re: AmberS – I completely agree with everything you said. It's unfortunate that the media is able to bash who they wish to portray as the "bad guy" and leave Obama's bad qualities to a minimum in the papers. How often do you see Obama's mistaken remarks blown out of proportion. None too frequently. Liberal media perhaps?

  51. 251

Re: Smirks – hubby is self employed….don't feel too bad…we have one of Bush's health savings accounts….by next year we will cut our costs in half b/c the account grow enough to cover our deductible……….hehe..another example of a gov't program already available to the people….most are just too lazy to explore options that are out there :)
