Don't know; never watched it. It just never seemed interesting.
Like me, I am sure most Americans are watching ploitical shows because they are more concerned with the economy than some silly show.

Because people are tired of a little fantasy world where there are like, do-gooders and all. So not reality.

It is probably because they are bringing the lesbian aspect into a conservative viewing audience.

For one I think it's the constant back and forth with Meredith and McDreamy. Come on - enough is enough. It's so ridiculous. And now the Chief is flying off the handle about the way the hospital is rated, when not too long ago, he was ready to give it up to get his wife back. Come on, they can do better than that.
Its getting Dry nothing to look forward to their is no pending romance or mystery that we actually care about. Plus they need to add on to the case.
Grey's doesn't suck this year. The opposite in fact. I really wish they could just erase the 4th season!
But people stopped watching because of the strike and because of the Callicka story line. I just hope that Grey's can pull through.
i don't like the show very much right now,because i am still sad about isaiah washington. i think it was stupid to throw him out of the show,because his character was a perfect one. he was a perfect gentleman,he had a life,etc. of course,i don't agree with the actors feelings about gay people,but still,i think it was wrong. the actor who plays george was used to hear people talk about him because he is gay.i mean come on, they weren't friends in real life, there isn't a clause in the contract saying they should bond. but come on, we should remember the scenes where burke and george were friends,and playing some music in their apartment. i mean come on,they both played very good, i couldn't feel the pressure between them two. i think it was wrong that isaiah washington is gone. and also addison

I think a reason people aren't watching is people are watching other things like the Weekend Update: Thursday thing. I've been watching Grey's and have been enjoying it. Then again, I don't give up on shows I like either.

I ;love Grey's Anatomy. But Season 4 wasn't very good either. I haven't watched any of Season5 yet, because I wait until it comes out on DVD.
This season does suck.

It sucks because A.) The storylines are bs (unlike ER who has been doing it correctly for a long time now) B.) The mark of any successful show is how likable the main character is. Even Dexter, a serial killer, and House, the main character who is a jerk, are fun to watch! Meredith Grey is just indecisive, whiny, and not all that cute. Yet, she's matched up with the "perfect" McDreamy, yeah right. I can't even believe she's supposed to be a "doctor."
Honestly, ever since Isaiah Washington left, the show has gone downhill. Plus, they stay on the same plot lines waaaaaay too long. The Meredith/Derek thing has been WAY too drawn out. The need to get engaged or something. Even with the other characters. Things constantly happen to the HOSPITAL (ie. water leak, hospital ratings, etc), but never the characters themselves. Needs more drama for the characters!!!!
I really like this season..and I have been watching it from the beginning. Like many others Im wasnt too happy with last season. I like where everyone is going in the show…I do wish they would do something with Mc Steamy and Meredith's Sister. I think that would be hot…not really feeling her and george
Because all they do is WHINE! Get over it already. I quit watching last season…all it is is one big whine and bitchfest. I'll leave it to the college girls to watch in their dorms, then blog about it. It.sucks.now.

Meridith and McDreamy go back and forth back and forth back and forth when we ALL already know they are going to eventually end up together
Bailey gets mad, but then she shows us her "softer side"

Christina wines and bitches ALL the time because she is tough and a good surgeon!
George is little and creepy guys with major a middle of the road personality who has somehow attracted b the 3 most attractive women on the show (Izzy, Torez, and the other Grey)??!! I am sorry that would NOT happen in real life.
AND the las thing is something is some kind of crazy outlandish shit always happens that is not longer creative just sad and unbelievable (accidents, Torez is a lesbian? wait what?!, Military doctor falls in love with bitchy Christina out of nowhere?? huh?)
just too much BS for one show ! Too many characters with too many predictable issues that all play out in too many not so predictable outlandish circumstances.

I loved Gray's and we watched every show of the prior seasons, but just couldn't stand to see hiegel or hear her voice…she is the worst actress ever and ruined the show for us….there! I said it.
The show got way off track last season and it still hasn't fully recovered. Like most everyone else has said I'm sick of Meredith and McDreamy. Either piss or get off the pot. How many times can they break up and get back together again? They're supposed to be doctors so shouldn't they be a little smarter than that? I'm sick of their storyline.

too much competition on TV with the same viewership, and the story lines are getting tiring. They need something interesting. It's sad, because the season finale was AWESOME, but they just haven't followed it up well.
I actually think it's better this season than it was last season. I'm still watching!

I hope they bring McMedic back as a permanent part of the show. Maybe a new character will shake things up a bit, add some new conflict etc. This season is way better than last season, but as someone said there really hasn't been anything going on with the characters except for the same old stuff….unless you consider the hospital a character (water leaks etc). And yes, the whole MerDer thing is getting old and they need to shit or get off the pot.
When it was on Wednesday nights all of us in college would watch in religiously. But… Now its on Thursdays and let's be honest, we go out on Thursdays!
I miss Addison. She wasn't a whiny female. They should have McSteamy go after Izzy. Right now his character has no depth. Christina and Dr. Hahn should get in a cat fight. Meredith's Mom should haunt her house.
I have always thought it was completely overrated. It is a dumbed down ER. I have watched on/off, but it is badly acted and written, so sappy. Meredith is very unappealing as a lead and the whining complaint is on point. The show is ridiculous and cheesy, but it always has been.
I don't know what's up with people. This season's been awesome. Way better than last season. Hahn/Torres are really cute. Meredith and McDreamy are not being annoying. It's great.
It's the same story line recycled every 4 episodes or so. It's irritating to have a cast of such talented actors and then have them repeating the same storyline over and over. Spice it up for fucks sake. Put MerDer to rest and get into the medical side of the show more… maybe a 50/50 split between characters personality and the drama that does take place in the hospital in a medical sense… i.e… house.
Meredith is ANNOYING and so is Christina..they're the weirdest pair of friends i've ever witnessed and Christina is just an annoying annoying human being…her character SUCKS. Also, the whole Izzie thing is getting weird..first Alex..then Denny (loved him)..then Alex again..then George..now Alex again? WTF. I still watch the show and will continue to watch it in the hopes that something more dramatic happens cause right now it's straight up boring.
Oh and McDreamy is HOTT as hell..Plus i'm obsessed with Can't buy me love. I love watching him!

i agree the show is all over the map this year…they missed the boat with nurse rose and the damage she could have inflicted on derek and meredith's relationship and she went out with a whimper…they shouldn't have a lesbian storyline on a show where the primary audience is women watching for MCDREAMY and MCSTEAMY hello! every episode used to end on a note that you'd go wtf? til next week couldn't wait to see it and it's not like that anymore

This show does not suck!! I love Mer/Der and can't wait to see if Lexi and Mark get together that would just spice the hospital right back up.. I for one can't wait till Thursday it is the new must watch TV night!
