Madonna and Guy Ritchie are getting divorced after nearly 8 years of marriage, and with its impending mudslinging, everyone has something to say about it. Including, but not limited to, adopted son David Banda's biological father.
Yohane Banda says he is disappointed to hear that the family is breaking up, expressing concern for his son's well-being. He says that David appears bewildered amid claustrophobic clusters of photographers and Madonna-wranglers, and that his life would be better back home with him in Malawi with his new wife, new son, and daughter.
David's biological mother died shortly after his birth and that's when Yohane placed him in the orphanage that Madonna later fell in love with him at.
Yohane says he feels betrayed because he was assured that his son was going to a stable home.
Divorce is tough on kids, it's true, but at least he can live without want. Malawai is not equipped with full-time nannies and lots of macrobiotic food!

Umm…yeah, the media probably called the dude up. So, don't really blame the guy for a quote, those media peeps probably are all looking for a line from anybody even remotely associated with Madonna or Guy. Plus, I feel for the little boy 'cuz he should have a more stable home life. Yeah, he might be more priveledged now but he'll be raised more by nannies than his adopted mom or dad. I'd be concerned too the poor little kid will get "lost in the shuffle". Will anyone even have any time, love, or concern for *him*, or be so wrapped up in the divorce? If there wasn't enough love to keep the family together, what kind of stability and love can be offered to him?
give me a break. the dad obviously couldnt take care of him before. children from "broken homes" don't always end up fucked up in the end! she could give this kid more than he could ever possibly need.
Oh please, regardless of all the chaos revolving this divorce, the truth is that little kid is still better off with Madonna. Any live his biological father would have gave him would have been no life at all. Poor little kid would be starving and malnurished right along his father.

Why should he shut up! He has a point. At the same time he should never have let that child out of Malawii. I just never understood why Madonna would adopt a child that has a living parent. It just seems like a complication that should be avoided. Besides there are more then plenty of kids with out both parents.
Somehow I think being Madonna kid will be a lot better than living in a small hut with no running water or electricity. Image having to go back to that after living the lifestlye of a star. That child will never forgive his dad for forcing him back to poverty because of a divorce. Plenty of single parents raise happy, healthy kids.
I PROMISE that David is in much better care with Madonna, be it by nanny or Madge herself then he would EVER be in MALAWAI.

As difficult as the divorce is, you can't give him back to his biological father. The father signed away rights to Madonna, the child is not a ping pong ball. He needs stability. And even if Madonna has sole custody of David, don't you think the life she can give him is better than living in a village in a third world country?

I understand his upset. I'm not saying that money doesn't create some happiness to a certain extent. But, when your mother is forever gone, going through a PUBLIC divorce and isn't handling it like a 50 year old woman should, and has all those strict restrictions, I understand. It wasn't like his father doesn't love him, and I'm sure he has to deal with guilt of giving him up. Money isn't everything, and Madonna seems like a pretty cold person. I think she loves her children, but I don't know. Many African Americans a while ago, use to temporarily give their children to a neighborhood caregiver, the local foster parent. There are two choices.
1. Grow up with Madonna and then make some good money and then meet the real dad and help him out.
2. Just give the child back to the father. Yeah I wish I had her millions, but he might be better off learning about his real culture and the love of his real father. He gave the child for adoption.ok. but he might of been in a desperate need of help and depression. After the baby's mother died his father dumped him off at that orphanage and never looked back. The orphanage staff said he never even visited his son. When the baby was adopted he was very ill and nearly dead.
Being a child of divorce sucks, but dying in an orphanage with no family isn't any better!

Unfortunately, most parents get divorced nowadays that doesn't mean the child can't have a good home with the mother, especially a mother with millions of dollars to swim in. Yes moeny doesn't always make your life better, but I know not having it is a lot worse- His dad needs to be thankful that he'll have a shot in life.
