"CarePacks is a non-profit organization—staffed and managed entirely by volunteers—that is dedicated to sending care packages to US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Founded in 2004, CarePacks' goal is to provide these soldiers with supplies to help improve their morale, mental health, and quality of life, and to remind soldiers that they are remembered by people “back home.”

CarePacks’ care packages contain high-calorie food products, undergarments, personal care items, books, magazines, and more. Each package also contains at least one letter or card from a child so that the soldier who receives the package has a personal connection to someone back in the United States. CarePacks coordinates its efforts with local schools, Cub Scout packs, Boy and Girl Scout troops, churches, and other organizations to involve the community in the support process and to inform them about the needs of US military personnel."

I love how there's only 2 replies to this & over a hundred to see what kind of "work" effin' Pam Anderson is getting done. Really sad…

why would anyone donate to this cause above others? why not send a care package to a school in afghanastan that has been blown up by our soldiers (god im so proud of them) or like, some orphans whose parents have been murdered by 'our boys'?

    5. 5

probably because those children and their family and trying to kill "our boys" you fuck bag

    7. 7

I try to send atleast 3 a month.
These guys love magazines, any type of jerky, crackers, shoe string ( to locate booby traps), Peanuts, Protien bars, Anything compact. Add a personal note too if you can, let them know we haven't forgotten them and that they have NOT fallen off the face of the earth.

Love that you are doing this, I spoil my husband when he's over there but there are lots of single guys who never see anything from home!

      Re: michelle mayvisRe: wifey.
      Guys-
War is messy and there's the good and the bad, both of u have pointed our both sides. Now Mayvis, don't blame our troops if miscalculations are made, it's not their fault. Blame our gov't for giving in accurate info to work with to begin with. Case and point of this would be the amount of soldiers we also lose in "friendly fire" accidents.

      Re: MINXLIVES

Helpful care pack tips can be found here:

And BTW the way, I meant SILLY STRING Not Shoe string! They spray it in the air to locate booby traps.

Thats my friend's site, her husband is deployed in Iraq as well, send the soldiers some care packages people!!!

    13. 13

Thank you, Perez for caring about the troops. This is rare in shallow Hollywood. So there is a heart in there under all that cuteness.

    14. 14

All the women and men serving
      in combat situations are heros!
They were not drafted, they volunteered
      to serve.
      Freedom is not free,
if it were not for the military,
everyone would be speaking German right
      now.

    15. 15

TO the person saying if it wasn't for freedom we would all speak German now:

So true, my parents who are Italian and immigrated to Montreal, Canada after World War II rememeber when in Italy, the American soldiers freed them! They were under German occupation for quite a number of years! The American and coalition forces fought a very harsh battle to free the Italians! My parents town in the mountains was not too far from Monte Cassino. Maybe the french can act ungrateful but the Italians will never forget what the U.S. did for them!

    16. 16

      Bravo to Perez
      for supporting the military!
He is helping the cause of freedom
      by posting this stuff,
just as the people who are sending
      care packages.
      No one likes war,
but they are doing it over there
so it does not come over here!
      .
      Will someone alert
      the mainstream media—
      AMERICA IS WINNING
      THIS TIME,
      LET FREEDOM RING!

Since when does Perez give a shit about the troops? You constantly plug the empty-suit political candidate who has voted to abandon the troops and cut off their funding and then you have the audacity to pretend to support their cause? Perez Hilton a hypocrite and he damages the reputation of every cause he pretends to champion.

    18. 18

renfamous- Obama has not voted not to fund our troops. You are uninformed. He voted for the largest package in HISTORY which Mccain voted AGAINST. Get your facts straight. He voted against a measure that did not have any timeline of bringing an end to the war.

Michelle Mayvis- You are rediculous. Those guys don't have a say. They would go to jail if they didn't do their jobs. Sure they signed up but a lot of them come places that are so destitute it was the only way. In my situation my fiance joined because I needed healthcare and because of my health no one would cover me. Now when we are married the Government has to. You don't know everyones situation for joining and once they join they don't have a choice but to go- criticize politicians not troops. Be informed. Go perez! I love your causes! you are doing a good thing and how dare anyone ever be ungrateful for the free publicity!?

      Re: michelle mayvis

You are such a fucking tart. You should go live in Iraq and see what conditions they had lived in the past, how a girl couldn't even speak let alone take a stand. OUR BOYS AND GIRLS continue to prove that being American is definatly worth fighting for. I am sure you would want my hubby to defend you if your state or country was attacked.

      GO TO HELL!
