where the fuck have you been?

    2. 2

actually, it's been a couple of weeks since the announcement. my sister is a manager for them, and she was told she had a job until Jan.

    3. 3

Down here in Florida they've been having a "going out of business" sale for months now.

    4. 4

Uhm, that was announced a long time ago. They have been trying to find a buyer for the company but Bed Bath & Beyond is far superior of a store and LnT could not compete. No one wanted to compete with BB&B. This isn't new Perez. In fact, I went to a liquidation sale there last week.

    5. 5

Wow. I don't care so much I kinda care now. :/

    6. 6

      whoreanus?

they already closed in california. wow….slow news day

    9. 9

Seriously. What kind of cave do you live in?

Your attempts at news are laughable.

    10. 10

      IS MY GIFTCARD STILL GOOD?

    11. 11

      tHAT IS SUCH OLD NEWS

    12. 12

you scared me, they are not ALL closing, only some stores. It is my "go to" store for family presents and holidays. I always forget they have a little of everything. again, not ALL stores are gpne…

    13. 13

The one that was built here in North Texas closed not even six months after it opened.

    14. 14

Good grief Perez, this was announced last February. I guess we'll be seeing Mervyn's news here about March.

    15. 15

You are so late with this! Its so 3 days ago!

    16. 16

Umm…this was announced months ago, they filed for bankruptcy a few months back, so that basically spells going out of business in the current economy. Stop acitng like you are the first to tell people things because you usually aren't!

    17. 17

They arent' even in my town.

    18. 18

HAHAHA I WORKED THERE THEY FUCKING SUCK! I MET MY BABYDADDY THERE IM STILL WITH HIM

    19. 19

I loooooooove Linens N Things! So much better than BBB, too bad… wahh

    20. 20

Seriously - WHO GIVES A SHIT PEREZ - IS IT A SLOW DAY?

    21. 21

you are a bit out of the loop this week…old news

    22. 22

I didn't know about this… Adios LNT. I usually go to the Beyond. But I will hit them up for some deep discounts.

    23. 23

I knew SOME of their stores were closing, but not all. But when the website clearly states " All Sales Final - No Returns" I guess you can assume they're completely closing.

Hmmm… the Canadian website says that the website is no longer available and prompts you to go to your local store. They never opened in my town, but I'll be sure to check out the closures in the cities I travel to regularly - I need new pillows!!!

    24. 24

So this is bad news for all those designer gays the world over? Why should I care, except for the poor employees of course.

    25. 25

Not news to me. All of the Linens n' things in Oregon went down months ago. I was pissed, too, because I had just gotten a $100 gift card :P

    26. 26

I never shopped there in my whole life lmao! Adios!

    27. 27

They are ALL closing. Not just some, ALL. Coupons are no longer accepted, personal checks are not accepted, and the LnT credit card can not be used. All sales are final. Our local LnT would not accept gift cards either. Don't waste your time, the discount is not much. Most is 10% off but they marked up items so you really aren't getting a discount at all. Wait until December.

    28. 28

      this isn't recent.

    29. 29

they have been going out of business for a month or longer. Have been there a couple times, though even stuff on clearance is still more expensive than buying it somewhere else like Target. They always were over priced.

Re: morganm – Jantzen Beach closes Nov 28th….hurry and get a margarita making machine!!

    31. 31

So no more gift certificates from regis and kelly anymore

    32. 32

that really sucks. lnt was my first job..met a lot of great people there…kinda makes me sad

    33. 33

they have been going under for awhile now…even before the "whoreanus economy."

    34. 34

Thank god they're closing, well I should just say thank god my store is closing. I worked there and my managers were the biggest assholes to have ever lived. I just wish they would close before Christmas and get the hell out of here instead of drawing it out…

    35. 35

      AWWWWWWWWWWWW!

    36. 36

Coming to this site for news is like going to the bakery thrift shop for day old bread - it's past its expiration date and stale. It's bad enough that you post inflammatory news about celebs but now you fancy yourself some kind of socio-political genius and post inflammatory, knee-jerk rants about our economy. If you and the rest of the media desperate for content would STOP with cries of "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!", MAYBE CONSUMERS WOULDN'T BE IN SUCH A PANIC and would have more confidence. Funny how you haven't said a word about a much bigger closure, Mervyn's. RIP Mervyn's.

    37. 37

I work for Linens-'N-Things in northeast Ohio, and yes the remaining stores will be closed by the first of the year. It really sucks, but Filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy didn't seem to help much earlier this year. 120 under performing stores closed, and then an additional 87 closed due to building contracts. The remaining 371 stores are undergoing liquidation as of October 17th.

    38. 38

they have been advertising their closure for months. Good deals, but not great ones. They are still overcharging.

      39

This isn't a new thing, they've been in financial trouble for quite a long time.

    40. 40

Dude, they've been going out of business for a long time…before the economy started tanking.

    41. 41

Wow - I feel bad for people in the US..
I hope things get better for everyone
      around the world ASAP!

    42. 42

Lets put it this way..We have till January. I work there and I'm getting out soon. Fucked considering the Canadian stores were making shitloads more than normal. Canadian Stores should still accept your giftcards.

    43. 43

My friend was upset about this because she loves to shop. I might be the only female who hates shopping and could care less :/ I've never been to the store, Linens and "things"? What things? sounds mysterious.

    44. 44

      OLD NEWS!!!

    45. 45

OH, AND I SUPPOSE IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT, RIGHT? THE ECONOMY WAS ONLY GOOD WHEN CLINTON WAS IN OFFICE BECAUSE OF REAGAN! ECONOMIES DON'T JUST GO BAD IN 8 YEARS…. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING STEADILY FOR A LONG TIME… YOU CAN'T BLAME ANY ONE PERSON!

    46. 46

Kinda pissed though, i like to shop there, especially with xmas comming up…then again it'll remain open till the end of the year so thats not all bad. I'm waiting till they drop their prices. So far the sign is 30% off everything, everything must go. I work nearly right beside one so i'm waiting till i see at least 75% off!
