On Monday, Allegra Versace attended the 2008 Whitney Museum of American Art's gala in the NYC.
Her family's fashion empire happened to be one of the gala's major sponsors.
What's the bolero jacket trying to disguise?
We still see too many protruding bones and stuff.
Hopefully she'll be finally able to get the help she needs for her eating disorder(s). And - most importantly - it should stick!

Just sickening! You know what is sad, she has all the money in the world to buy food and eat and there are people out there who cannot even find money for one meal a day…so sad!

Anorexia, although thought by many to be a choice, is not. It's a fucking disease. She is sick and I wish her nothing but the best in the world.. I would hate to see something happen to her. The way you talk about her, you would think she had a choice in the matter, having known a severe anorexic who went through absolute hell, I see otherwise. She may very well never get "better".. she may get healthier and she may put on some weight, but mentally, this is something she may battle with the rest of her life, even with the best help money can buy. You criticizing her publicly every chance you get and bringing her problem to light everytime you can isn't helping anyone, we know she has a problem, is it really necessary to point that out OVER AND OVER again?!

She won't be around long. Even if she straightens up and gets help. She has been anorexic since she was about 14-15 years old. I saw pictures of her after Gianni was murdered and she looked like a walking skeleton. Gross. The problem is. For somebody with an extreme, chronic problem it does lasting damage to your heart. So usually these people die before they hit 30. What is ironic is that her uncle left her the controlling interest in his company. She inherits everything. Her mother was only running it aling with her other uncle until she could take it over. Doubtful.

I wish you would stop blogging about things like this. Eating disorders are the worst type of addiction, I don't care what anyone says. It's even worse than cocaine or heroin because with those substances you can take them completely out of your life with yes withdrawls but you don't need it in your life. Food you do. It's a ridiculously hard thing to find the balance between when you have food issues no matter what they may be. I used to be anorexic and it's taken three years of me being completely healthy and eating normally for everyone to stop looking at me like a charity case. STOP I beg of you. Let her deal with this in private where it should be. This is honestly none of your or anyone else's business. SHAME ON YOU PEREZ.

However, how come anorexics are always looked at with sympathy and compassion (at least by "normal" people, not the bloggers here!*G*) whereas people with OTHER eating disorders such as binge eating who have gotten morbidly obese due to THEIR eating disorder/addiction are looked at in disgust and contempt by most people?
I am just curious, so please do not think it unfriendly from me, but: I suppose you know some one with anorexia or have it even yourself, so WHAT do you think of obese persons who are ALWAYS ridiculed on blogs compared to skinny anorexics? Hardly ever does anybody "defend" people suffering from a binge eating disorder (which leads to obesity in the long run, and death as with anorexics) as being seriously ILL and therefore not to be made feel GUILTY for their weight?

However, I admit I myself DO make ridiculing remarks on ONE certain type of anorexics: Those who "PROMOTE" it as a lifestyle and this way get young girls to see anorexia as something "good" and desirable….But I really never made any derogative remarks on anorexics who admit they are ill and just cannot get out of it yet…

Cause the latter in the majority of cases is the main REASON that gets people into developing an eating disorder, no matter whether it s anorexia, bulimia or binge eating! It s NOT the money, you re just ENVIOUS I think cause you think they got an EASY LIFE without having to work for it - something which you also CANNOT know!
Anorexia Nervosa is a hard disease to overcome, she won't get better in one day. Leave her alone.

i used to work at a restaurant near ucla, and allegra used to go to ucla. one day she walked into the restaurant, asked to use the bathroom without buying anything, then quickly used the restroom and left. after she left, i walked into the bathroom, and it was COVERED in either vomit or diarrhea, i don't know which. she didn't even go near the toilet. it was SO DISGUSTING!!! that girl has a serious eating disorder.
She looks really old. Why do people with anorexia always look so much older than they actually are?
