1. Whoever is elected Nov. 4 will not be part of this meeting. Technically, that man will not be President until Jan. 20.
2. This is just Bush trying to APPEAR to do something. None of the other world leaders take him seriously anymore. He's doing what essentially amounts to holding a meeting in the office conference room, ordering everybody who's trying to get real work done, in order to delude himself and co-workers that he's taking charge and helping to solve the problem.
At this point, the world economy would be better off if he simply STFU and rides out his term.
