this movie looks ridiculous. it is totally different than the original and from what i hear they're taking out the five minutes that pamela was given to begin with, so it's ALL jason. also, is the camp not even open and functioning???
i don't know why i thought there was a chance that michael bay WASN'T going to mess this up for all the real horror fans…

Well, it does look pretty good, BUT it's definately not true to the first one. In the first one Jason is just a little boy at the bottom of the lake and his mom is the killer. Jason doesn't make his first appearance until the very end it's only for about 30 seconds. He also doesn't get his Jason mask until the third installment. He wears a burlap sack with one eye hole in the second movie.

If it's rated "R" I might give it a shot. If it's one of the PG-13 piles of shit that calls itself a horror movie but is really just scary enough to give a 13 year old pop loving cupcake a bit of a scare, then I'll wait for video. Since Michael Bay is producing I won't hold my breath.

I saw this teaser trailer months ago, looks good! It's supposedly supposed to be more about the origins of Jason. The remakes usually do suck, but hope it's a lil bit scary!
BOO!! jason is suppose to walk slow when he is after his victims. That is what makes it scary.
Love love love old horror movies and this looked great up until the last 5 seconds or so when they show jason do a running charge at the girl. Yeah Jason doesn't run that's what makes him so scary!! He walks and still kills you! Other than that it looked good.
Looks like it could be good, I don't see how this is a remake though, it's nothing like the first one. Which is a good thing, if you have actually watched the original you'd know how shitty and boring it is.

Actually it's not a remake of the first film, it's a remake of parts 1-3. So the mother, the burlap sack and the hockey mask will be in it. Let's hope it's rated R and doesn't blow bukkake though.

I don't think it looks good, and I think it's really stupid that they're calling this one a remake of the original. I mean, Jason's in it and he wasn't in the first one. Freaking stupid. Get some original ideas and stop fucking with the classics. Although I guess it can't be any worse than Zombie's remake of Halloween.
PEOPLE. If you would take 15 seconds to look this remake up…you'll realize that his movie is based (somewhat loosely) off of the FIRST THREE Friday the 13th films. Meaning his mother isn't the killer, Jason wears the burlap sack AND the hockey mask, and etc. will be mashed together. If they remade the movie word for word and so on…what would be the point? Sometimes it's cool to see a classic made with all of the improved technology. Relax lol.
The only thing I'll bitch about though is the fact that Jason doesn't fucking run/walk fast. Neither does Michael Myers. Rob Zombie and whoever directed the Friday the 13th remake need to get that straight.

fyi…*SPOILER ALERT* the killer in the original Friday the 13th is not jason like everyone thinks it's his momma taking revenge for his death, Jason is not the killer until the second movie so this doesn't appear to be a remake at all
